Also on some other TF site that won't be named, there is a clear shot of Star Saber with a sign that CLEARLY shows 'no pictures'. LOL.

Then why include it in the first place? As I said unnecessary.
Because he had it on his back in the cartoon:

And it's not like the tire doesn't go anywhere in altmode:

Never really saw that as a spare wheel, isnt it supposed to mirror mold marks from the original toy?

Image

Besides the animation model doesnt have half of his roof hanging of his back. I just think they could have handeld his tranformation a little better, a this juncture I would say ToyWorld Bii looks tons better than this. he certainly has a cleaner bot mode.

It actaully looks like a clean robot-mode to me. By itself, and certainly compared to older iterations.

Image

TW03BII also has a back piece and it looks even more prominent.

Image

Additionally TW03BII is missing nearly all the windshields around his torso, his hips aren't yellow, and head isn't cartoon-accurate (copied from Henkei it seems.) It does look like a cool toy, but I think MP-21 is "it."

i would love to have some of these but with import cost it makes it too expensive plus they would add nicely in my assortment :BOT:

I agree it is head and shoulders above the Classics mold, and I suppose this is a case of each to their own, but I still feel that Bii wins out in terms of the final product, BTW the side on view of Bii is slightly mistransformed, the back pack does tab in a little more than that resulting in a slighlty more streamlined look.

With the Takara Toy Fair craze still going on, we have some pricing details of the recently revealed Cloud TFC-A03 Hot Rodimus and TFC-D03 Shockwave! According to Takara Tomy representatives who were present at the showroom, both figures will be individually priced at 5,940 Yen, which is roughly $54 US dollars, a considerably cheaper price than previous entries to the Cloud series.

Also revealed is the package art for the pair, which has been mirrored below!

To recap, Hot Rodimus is a redeco of Generations Springer, and Shockwave is a redeco of Generations Whirl.

That's almost half the price in US dollars! What was the original price in Yen? Is the price difference for the Japanese as severe, or are we just suffering from US retailer markup?

That has to be toe worst mold you could possibly pick for Shockwave. It's ridiculous actually.

I had to look it up.

I think it must be. They went for the same price over there. I still don't know why they were marked up so high here. I'm not a big fan of the "$20 mold going for $60" trick though. I like paint aps, but I mean these were nothing really special.

I apologize , I didn't realize that. I was absolutely kidding ofcourse! It was ment as a harmless joke. Sorry my bad #-o

How can you say that when the Masterpiece is not even out? Also let's not forget we're also getting Spike with him for around $50 while Toyworld bii is $70 bucks...

Thanks To takaratomymall and e-hobby we get official images of the new Cloud Rodimus and Shockwave figures. Rodimus is a repaint of the ever popular Generations voyager Springer and Shockwave is a repaint of the more recent voyager Whirl figure that was just released earlier this year.

Takaratomymall also added a part of the Transformers Cloud Story to their site and an art image where Prime Ultra Magnus is teased?

Please take a look at the images we mirrored below for your viewing pleasures and Keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates, plus the best galleries around!

Welp, looks like Beast Hunters Ultra Magnus will be repurposed as Cloud Ultra Magnus, for these reasons:

1) In Japan, Ultra Magnus never appeared in Prime in that form, as Beast Hunters was replaced by GO!
2) Cloud mainly consists of figures "skipped" for the main Jspanese lines: GDO Megatron and Brawn, Gen. Doubledealer and Whirl never had a Japanese release until Cloud. That will include Beast Hunters Ultra Magnus.

With that said, who will be his Decepticon counterpart?

I don't like either of these molds, and the purple just makes it look even worse on Shockwave. I wish the Springer mold wouldn't be so damn lanky. I do like the colors for Rodimus, if I do get it, it'll probably be displayed in car mode.
