I like those. I like the other rank banners too. I'm more or less just thinking and typing. Dangerous mix.

Thanks for the work you're putting into this stuff. You didn't have to and it is apriciated.

No biggie but thanks :). Once I have a template it's easy to change things around. And, don't hurt yourself ;).

And points to Mogwai on the WIN - pointing out we have a BIO section we can control for putting these if there is not signature space.

These are indeed good.

You can't post images in the bios ... just links. I tried.

We're never likely to get pics in our bio's, way too much work for the mods as we would have to 'ok' every pic before it could be shown, and that sounds like way too much hard work.

As for the debate about keeping the award ribbons a uniform size; there's no reason they cant be any shape at all, but for those planning to win a bunch of them, standardising the max dimensions would make it easier when building sigs.

Ribbons for tournies (taking part in combat basically... I think that's what ribbons are for in the military)

How about medals for achievements, like 100% strafe, 1 hit Kill, stuff like that?

OHK are pretty much impossible unless they are 100% strafes, but yeah aslong as it's an actual acheivment rather than something fairly mundane.

As far as I know though, OHKs are harder to get. I only ever got 1, but I had about a half dozen or so 100% strafes before I stopped counting/keeping track.

you'd need fusion cannon (or get very very very lucky with an energo-sword, particle beam cannon,or the RPMS) with 10 str, a 0end target with no armour to acheive a OHK at present, without a 100% strafe

I understand that. But what I'm saying is once you have the stats, you can pretty much 100% strafe in any mission, especially when outnumbered. OHK with 100% strafe can only be done in the arena as far as I know, and is less likely to occur.

**EDIT**

Medals are given for many things, not just combat. There is the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct, Serving in various theaters, Emergency Service and many others that aren't directly combat related.

Actually most ribbons are medals, the medals themselves are actually only worn for certain formal functions. The ribbons stand in their place when just worn on Dress Greens/Blues for other functions. The ribbon is usually the colors of the medals "ribbon" that holds the medal.

For Example:

Notice the colors. The ribbon is worn when the medal is not.

I just thought I would point that out. Ribbons are far more than what a lot of people think they are :)

Heya Tammuz can you post those chevron's with no pic? I don't have MY laptop with me so I don't photo stuff. I like those better than just the bars I was using. Also could you post that head like your previous badge without the chevrons?

And, no it just means you were already half the battle ahead. Just means everyone just caught up with you ;)
