same here. If he's available from decent, online US-based retailers and they don't mark him up past the $125 we should be able to get him shipped for about £120, assuming customs guys don't decide to have a night at the pub.

Aye customs got me on hegemon a think it was an extra £15 i had to pull out ,i'm not sure how they work but a box the size of metroplex i hope won't be a big issue.

Hmmm, that looks like a pretty friggin' cool figure.

Anyone on here want to buy it for me so I can buy it from you? I'll give you an extra $25 for it. I try not to purchase anything made in China that isn't an essential item for a family/home to have. So if I buy it 3rd party, I get my toy, the money goes to you and my conscience is clear.

This guy is about twice as big as Fort Max but is at the $125 price tag coming this August.

Sounds like a sweet deal seeing that I never had the chance to own a Citybot before.

I couldnt be happier about this news. I am so glad that companies like Hasbro are recognizing the fact that you can go back to larger scale bases and vehicles marketed to the adult collectors that remember the collector hay day that was the 80's, which brought us toys like G1 Metroplex, Fortress Maximus, the Cobra Terror Drome and the USS Flagg. I knew after Comic Con 2012 and Hasbro's exclusive Avenger's Helicarrier that if sales were good we would see more releases like this stateside that played on our generation's nostalgia. He'll be a great addition to my FOC collection which as of tomorrow will include the Year of the Snake Omega Supreme. Way to go Hasbro. Shut up and take my $! Til all are one. :BOT:

I love the way Metroplex looks and his articulation appears to be pretty good (arms, head, fingers). I saw him close up yesterday. They wouldn't let me hold him, but he had a lot of nice detail in the chest and head area. His robot mode is bad ass, but I'm not a huge fan of his alt modes.

I'd love to get him, but my wife would kill me. I've started referring to him as "Alimony Prime" with my friends.

This thing is f***ing epic! :KREMZEEK: Good things really do come to those who wait. We've had a little over a year of smaller figures, thinner plastic, gimmicky weapons, and non-released characters, and I have to say I think it's all been worth it.

You promised us something big for next year Hasbro, and I, like others, didn't believe you. How happy I am to be wrong. THANK YOU!!!!!

I think he meant not buying directly from the store. Which doesn't make sense: no matter who the middle men are (basically any reseller), they're still made in China. Speaking of which, does anybody know if all production has moved to that new location?

Are you talking about the production location for Hasbro and Takara in the future? I was surprised to see that MP Soundwave has China stamped on it. I thought Takara had already moved out of China, but I guess not. I had heard developments to move production to Thailand or Vietnam. But I don't know where they are in that process or if the deal fell through.

yeah, his legs are very hollow but hope they will peg together well. Is there more to him that is not presently shown? He seems a little bland for his size.

I just noticed that Metroplex doesn't seem to have foot articulation. While he doesn't necessarily have to have a ball-joint ankle (might be unfeasible due to size and weight), but I'd like to see some ability to pivot the front section of his foot like Year of the Snake Omega Supreme so he doesn't look so clunky when doing a "fighting" pose with his legs spread apart.

Generations Metroplex is suppose to be a updated version of G1 Metroplex right and not Fall of Cybertron right?

IIRC, he's strangely being marketed as FoC Metroplex, but is designed as an updated GI Plex.

IMO, it's for the best, as his FOC alt mode looks pretty lazy.

Here's a fan-made pic of it:

Image

It's not the most accurate rendition, but it's all I can find. The saddest thing is that even the fan drawing has more transformation going on, with open decks and stuff.

Or if you have the game, take note in the very beginning of Chapter 2--he's in the background in alt mode. There's also an image of his alt mode on the monitor in the Dinobots' locker room. Just have Optimus sit on the chair and surf some channels. ;)

His toy bio seems to pin him down best as being IDW G1 Metroplex more than anything.

In all the pics Ryan and Duque took, I don't see the words "Fall of Cybertron" anywhere on the packaging. Though, I do see IDW Deluxe Bumblebee standing on his shoulder. ;)

My bad. I kind of got it into my head that it was supposed to be FOC Metroplex when in the earlier posts, a lot of the comments mentioned FOC in the same sentence when talking about the toy. :D

Actually, I'm surprised they didn't go for the FOC design, seeing as how much simpler his transformation is.
