Lovers and haters of Galvatron attack each other, then attack each other for attacking each other, then say the other side's attitude is why this fandom is so much worse than any other fandom, completely missing the point that they're as bad as each other.

Same ol' same ol' I see.

Transformers, the only thing we in a hurry to take"

Just be glad we're not getting a repaint of Megatron and smile.

A mate of mine was on Live the other day.
Bunch of Americans asked him where he was from, so he said the UK.
They called him a liar, said he didn't have a British accent because he didn't speak with that mockney accent, and when he said regional difference, they told him all British sound the same.
He said so do all Americans, and they called him Racist and ranted at him for 5 minutes.

I don't think it's just us Brits, I don't think ANYONE thinks like Americans

Then he dealt with some of the dredges of American society who want to bash anybody who is accussed of being a homosexual or a guy from India because he looks "Arab". Americans don't liked being lumped into 1 homogenous group anymore than British or any other diverse nationality.

yeah, i actually got an email from microsoft warning me against rasicm ffs. the thing is, i tried to ask why me saying afgahn was racist, and was told because it was afgahns that caused 9/11, afgahns that are killing americans every day, and are causing the problems in Iraq. I even tried telling them, brits were killed in 9/11 and the 2 wars, but they didnt listen.

Then you dealt with idiots, as well, who aren't a very good representation of Americans, either. The Afghan war is almost forgotten by most people in the States and anybody who shares the sentiment expressed here is either 12 or a mental dolt. My question: why did you list Afghan as your nationality anyway and why was it the 1st thing to come to your mind? Were you just looking to start some trouble?

Anyway, getting back on track, I really doubt Galvatron will get a deluxe and another figure as a voyager, like Megatron did in the Classics series. Optimus and Megatron are synonymous with Transformers and you can market 2 figures in 1 line of both these guys, whereas Galvatron is widely viewed as Megatron's less popular successor. Even if you liked Season 3 and Rodimus and Galvatron more than the Op and Megs, you have to admit you are in the minority in this case.

I think Hasbro is also showing their hand of distancing themselves from the Season 3 regime of leader. Rodimus these days effectively means "Hot Rod"(see: Energon, Alternators, Classics) and Galvatron, in the past, was relegated to Megatron repaints and now, is a deluxe. Factor in Ultra Magnus just being a repaint of Optimus, particularly in the 1st wave of Classics, and you can see how I can support my case where Hasbro is marginalizing that era.

The point people are making is that it's NOT a Titanium, and as a Classic/Universe, he should, in their eyes, be in scale with THAT line.

Then what makes him in scale? And for that matter half of you guys probably didn’t even go to Toy Fair to see it in person, so how do you know he’s not in scale? What if he’s a big deluxe, we’ve seen them before.

He’ll be in scale with Classics Rodimus

He's not in scale with Rodimus. When Rodimus became Prime, and the same size as Galvatron, he grew.[/quote]

Okay, I kind of forgot he grew, but what if they make a deluxe sized Rodimus Prime? Then he would be in scale.

Actually, who even cares about scale? TFs have never had it since they started, why do we expect it now?

I agree, people seem to have a very opinionated view of other peoples countrys and backgrounds. I'm Canadian and I like to think I have friends all over the world. I've met many Americans I am more then happy to call my friends (see anyone who drank with me at Botcon) or just people I've met online who live in the UK or Australia. (past and present members of this board). A shame when one person "represents" their country so poorly. Hell, even we had a real sour grape representing Canada on the boards... I don't need to say his name mind you.

As for Galvatron being a Deluxe, I'm down with that. I like to think of it like the Buu Saga. Kid Buu was the strongest form, yet the smallest. Here we have Galvatron, who is better then Megatron in every way, somewhat smaller. Pardon my crappy comparison, but it's the best way for myself to think of the size change.

because i was on CoD4 as the arabs and thats about the long and short of it. Bllomin typical, i get a bunch of hyper sensitive idiots reporting me for absolutly nothing and apparantly its my fault. I ask you this, how would i know that would annoy them????? I know, and often tell people that there is good and bad in all nations, hell, my little country has far more than its fair share of idiots

Obviously some people care about scale...
And the whole "What if" is a far reach of justification to ignore or not care about it.

I think the argument that Galvatron should've been a voyager like the other 2 leaders is the most legit.
And by the look of those pictures, it appears Sunstreaker is bigger than Galvatron and Prowl (who look more similar in size).
So unless Sunstreaker is a huge deluxe, I'd say Galvatron is very average for this class.

Even though scale has been ignored more than what it probably should've been in the past, why do people think it's okay to neglect this feature with NEW figures?
Again, if they can be made more in scale, WHY NOT DO IT???!!??!?

1. Large deluxes, like Animated Lockdown visibly stretch beyond their alt modes.
You can see Galvy doesn't do that, so he'd be huge in both modes, and a Voyager.

2. There's a pic of him next to Sunstreaker on one site. :p

Nekoman wrote:Then what makes him in scale?

If it's based on Classics, Voyager as he was that in the comics.
Same for cartoon.
Toy would be leader, and any non G1 would be the same.

Nekoman wrote:but what if they make a deluxe sized Rodimus Prime?

Then people would bitch. They'd say there's a deluxe sized one in Titanium, and Classics Prime is Voyager, so Rodimus deserves the same.

Probably.

Nekoman wrote:Actually, who even cares about scale?

A lot of people for a lot of reasons.

Some care about robot scale (fiction based), others about vehicle scale (realism based).

Nekoman wrote:TFs have never had it since they started, why do we expect it now?

Robotwise they did. Not always but often.
G1 being 2 other lines created it.
Prime, the seekers, Soundwave were all huge, the cars were smaller and the minibots were tiny.

Since G1, there's been an effort to retain SOME sense of scale.
It's not always exact, and Armada Unicron etc ignore it completely, but the leaders are larger than the regular bots and so on.
It's usually only when we get a deluxe version of Prime later that we lose a basic scale.

I'm not saying every figure has to be slavish, I'm not against Powerglide, but leader characters, especially ones famous for being a bigger, more Powerful Megatron, should, imo, retain those qualities.

No Death for Prowl wrote:Then he dealt with some of the dredges of American society

Oh, I know. I know Americans are not not all the same, I know it's just loudmouthed scum that act appalingly 'cos they're online, we have them too.

The HULK tank seems pretty dope. Would go well with my Decepticons. Especially Energon Demolisher and movie Brawl.

Seibertron still rocks.

It's a large Animated Bulkhead with a head that resembles that of the Marvel character Galactus which can fit over Bulkhead's head. Apparently, placing the Galactus head on Bulkhead makes the figure say different lines and make sounds, as if the Headmaster 'takes over' Bulkhead.
