Anythings possible, but I dont think it's about Hasbro bullying the dealers. If it was about "intellectual property" we would have seen TF Source and BBTS stop selling 3rd party items a long time ago. They same way they bullied Funpub into banning 3rd party toys and making the Botcon dealer room a snooze fest.
On the other hand, If you knew how US Customs are d**ks like I do, you would agree with my orange cap theory. Imagine the thousands of horrified collectors who get their "MISB" Hegemon torn open to either place a orange cap or make sure the existing orange cap is glued on securly. Those guys dont give a s**t. Trust me on that, I got friends in Customs and they dont play. Im pretty sure that was the case with the Encore Black Megatron which still gathers dust in both stores to this day.http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retailhttp://tfsource.com/products/view/product_id/672/
I once even met an E-bay dealer who uses photoshop to put a orange cap on his images to fool anybody checking for violations. But Customs cant open every individual box in the US mail. However, large shipments from known toy dealers face greater scrutiny.
