Well, today was the last day given as a possible delivery day by someone who seemed to know what they were talking about. Didn't see any, but I didn't bother asking if they had any come in.
Does anyone know if the "late August" time being thrown around in the questions page @ TRU.com is legit? If so, I think I'm done with the "hunt" for now. At least until I hear more Northeast sightings.

I was in a TRU yesterday in southeast PA, and the guy I talked to there (not sure if he was manager or assistant or what) said he doesn't expect to see them until November. I'd take that with a grain of salt, but like you, I'm done hunting for it. I'm not going to keep making special trips for it. If I happen to see it one day, I'll get it.

Greetings from Northern California. I just got some depressing news from all my local TRU's. For everyone who has not seen Soundwave yet - chances are your TRU has them and won't tell you. It was street dated in the stores until last Sunday(7/28) (at least in my area). According to the store manager at the closest store to me the ones popping up in stores all over the US should not have been selling them till last Sunday(7/28). They have had them in the back room for *WEEKS*. Start checking around and look for them on upcoming trucks.

So depending on who you talk to, they've either had them for weeks and are just sitting on them, or they aren't going to get them until August. Or November.

Asked at my local store in Raleigh, since they were stocking the aisle while I was there. Dude had apparently been pestered by some local neckbeards and confirmed that the Southeast Distribution Center, as of this last weekend, has not gotten a single case of them yet. FYI to my SE dudes.

If that's true, that's just prime. But in all, this speaks volumes to the level of miscommunication or lack of communication from corporate/Hasbro to TRU stores, then to the consumer; because there shouldn't be five different stories coming from what should be in reality the same source. So I'm definitely agreeing with your , GuyIncognito. Wake me when we have a solid answer.

Picked up Soundwave on Saturday, July 27 at 9am when TRU opened in San Antonio, Texas, of course I was waiting from a little after 8am by the door.

They had exactly 2 Soundwaves and 2 Acid Storms, although only 1 of each on the shelf, stating the other set had not been unboxed yet. Myself and another collector picked up 1 each, then stayed and spoke with a couple of the managers and customer reps and they assured us that they would call us once they had the others unloaded.

Got a call today, Monday, 7/29, to come pick up Acid Storm, so they actually followed through. I am sure he got called to pick up his Soundwave.

Trucks come in on Thursday and Saturday Mornings. Hope you don't waste your time standing outside the TRU, just be early and be first.

First east coast sighting?

I just walked into my local TRU in NJ (for the 11th day in a row) to find 4 MP Soundwaves on the shelf. I bought one, and one got put on hold.

Something I've been wondering: why does Acid Storm's box say MP01 and Soundwave say MP02?

Oh, by the way, I didnt put the other one on hold, a call must have come in. After re reading my post I realized it sounded like I was going for two, and I wouldnt want to be Soundwave greedy........(tells Takara MP SW to shut up)

Yes!!! After my local Toys R Us lied to me saying they didn't have any (They sold them the day after the Bogo Sale), I just got one from the website!

Toys R Us in Erie, PA has now gotten a total of 3 cases of MP Soundwave and MP Acid Storms in. One on Wednesday 7/31 and 2 cases in today 8/2. Bought one on Wednesday, but had trouble with my Laserbeak. The paint job done on him made some of his joints stick, particularly the fins on the to of his laser packs (broke it trying to flip it up). Had to take it back today and get a new one this morning when they opened. One guy bought 2 Soundwaves at one time, and minus the replacement I got, left one behind.

Just opened Acid Storm and HOLY MOLY is he green. I mean, bright neon green, way greener than the box art. It's an interesting choice to say the least.

The Toys'R'Us website listings for newly released Hasbro Masterpiece Soundwave and Acid Storm, now shows that both figures have the Free Store Pick-Up service available for them! Just enter your ZIP code, and they'll let you know if they're in stock and put one aside for you if so.

All my store locations say out of stock or not carried. Went to the one nearest me on saturday and spoke to the stock clerk. Had not heard of either and asked for an item number. I told him I didn't know so he couldn't check. Called another store and they looked it up online and said it won't be available at stores.

Yes I got Him . I had a feeling about Soundwave. I cannot believe my Toys R Us had him in stock they never have anything. the best part is I have had a 150$ gift card since my birthday and I finally cashed it in this is a good day.

All stores within 50 miles of me are sold out(That's 42 stores altogether).

every single store in my area is out & i asked if they knew when they'd be getting some in they said they dont know, i really hate TRU.

closest store to me with one is 5 1/2 hours away...

guess ill keep looking and hope for the best.

Grr. Showed in stock at a Bronx TRU, tried to checkout, and poof! It became unavailable and was removed from my order.

Ah well. At least I can pick up Acid Storm from Times Square on my way home.
