The last I saw indicated Thundercracker was due out September-October with Prime to follow in November-December. If Thundercracker moved up will Prime do the same?

I thought Prime was supposed to come out first and I heard late August.

Late august was meant for thubdercracker sinxe it holds true for him.

Prime may come out october/ or november. Maybe december. Seeing as how he would make a good christmas toy seller

Probably around November, to coincide with the Christmas shopping season.

I was just at my TRU and no thundercracker but I did find a full case of kre-o micro changers. And now I have to go to tru every single day till I find me a thundercracker so my seekers will finally be complete. But now I'm gonna want a skywarp in this mold.

They had the most demand that they've ever had & as I'd said, the people waited in line 3-4 hrs. for the "time to go" tickets and STILL did not get in.
It's your choice to get your figures graded - even at a premium. Just as I passed on the BS "premium" price of the SDCC FOC Bruticus.
Lastly -please show me the TRU where MP Grimlock and or Rodimus went on clearance. What did they cost? Need to see that to believe it. The other big box retailers clearance much more frequently than TRU - so the frustration/bitterness is toward TRU for not following suit. Example: SW EPIII figures being clearanced finally after 2 yrs.

Let me simplify this: I have no love for either company. Nor do I have love for SDCC. Especially since Anime Expo in 2007 was better organized and cheaper than SDCC. So when it comes to me, lets say I am completely neutral on the subject.

So with SDCC version, its price is based on the following elements: The regular price + the additional cost to cover their SDCC booth costs. And with SDCC, I have read that their booth spaces are overpriced for what they are. So since they want to be there, they need to cover that and still make money.

Then again... Your complaint is part of the many issues tied to SDCC, and not just Hasbro. Plus, I heard other stories that make that issue sound mild.

As for Toys"R"Us, I used to work at the one closest to me. And from what I was told, your beef is not their fault. Blame their higher ups. But, then again, I stopped buying TFs because the last two I bought had the same QC issues, and both were different lines. That, and I find these stores to be uninspiring and make shopping online a better option. :P

But with the attitude towards the price and company, let me say that it is a poor move to obsess, much less get angry over such things. If the price is greater than your need, move on and allow somebody who feels differently buy it. You are the potential buyer, not a owner of the company. And when it comes to the things you collect, it should be about why you want it... Not why you skipped something you did not want because of its price.

In other words - Skip the talks of how they price their stuff, and enjoy what you do have. If you disagree with the price, then do not buy it. Just say that the price did not justify your need, and allow others to do business with them. And I say this because you are souring your time hating something you know nothing about, opposed to just using that time planning and creating a collection that says "This is me. This is what I like." 8)

And if you cannot do that because Hasbro had a justifiable reason you do not know, then you might as well try to find something that will support your emotional and physical health... As they say that nothing is worth bitching about. :-?

If you worked at TRU, then please explain why they never clearance (in the US) and hang to items for dear life. As I said, Target, Walmart and Kmart frequently clearance, unlike TRU, and your reply never touched on that

other posters, thanks for the rejoinders about SDCC.

I can't complain - after an excellent breakfast ($30+ value!!) with the management of the company i work with, I found MP TC this am with the help of a friend. So beautiful I almost cried :x . Bring on Prime!!!!!!!!!!

I have never worked at TRU but it is a bit unfair to compare TRU with discount stores like Walmart, Target and K-Mart. TRU is a specialty store which is why their prices are higher and they do clearance stuff, I see it all the time at my TRU. What they don't tend to do is clearance exclusives and why should they if you can't buy it elsewhere.

The discount trio clearances a lot more because they only have so much room for toys and there is always more coming around the next season or so. They have to make room. TRU is more dedicated to toys so they have the room to hang on to old stuff while the new stuff comes in.

I've never seen a TRU exclusive on clearance, as far as what I buy of their exclusives anyways.

I just went to my local TRU with the number given in another thread. It was very helpful, yet they haven't gotten them in just yet. Plus I was wrong about the truck time. It's Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays. The helpful store associate said it wasn't on the truck for tomorrow, but I could always double check. She said it may be on next weeks truck, considering they were supposed to have them in.

i had just recently found this out myself
instead of the Tue/Thu schedule it used to be, the 3 i hit the most have all switched to a Wed. delivery date. I am assuming it is to cut back on shipping costs but it had thrown me for a loop the first few weeks they did it because I always seemed to walk in a lil too late for a couple things.

True. There are still TRUs out there with Universe Darkwind for $30. I brought one up to the register that was in a beat to hell box and told them if they'd sell it to me for 50% off, I'd take it because it wan't going anywhere in that condition anyhow. They said no. Prior to that they had Universe Silverbolt on clearance for like $12 and I asked if they'd match the price for Darkwind...they said no. Oh well, that mold and deco sucks anyhow. I can live without it.

So, I went on an adventure after work and after about an hour and half and 50 miles, I ended up with a Thundercracker.

My regular TRU had the sticker on the shelve with that 8/13 sticker so I asked one of the employees. He checked the system and it appears all figures have come and gone but another TRU had two in stock. Drove over there and one was already gone and the one someone had reserved was sitting on the CS counter. Turned out the guy who reserved one picked the one off the shelve so I got the other one. The kid there said to call them next Tuesday to see if they got any more so I guess stores have differing delivery dates. I am going to set a reminder to call every Tuesday until they get OP in.

Havent opened TC yet but he looks nice. I have a Takara one sealed but I dont want to open it. Hopefully you guys will get lucky and find one. If I can snag a couple more I will and sell it at cost plus freight.

I went to the one here, in Baton Rouge. Its only 5 miles from where I work, but the traffic lights were down and it took me 30mins to get there. Lucky for me the trip was not a waste, they had 3 in stock and I picked up one.

I can't find Thundercracker for the life of me. I've called all TRU's in my area, I've driven to a couple, and no one's ever even heard of it. I tried an SKN I found (787681) on the website and in-store, and it brings up nothing.

Can anyone help out with the actual SKN so my local toys r us can order it for me through another store?

Thanks! :HEADHURTS:

That is the correct number - it's not showing up on the website because it doesn't have the figure available, and most store employees check the website. Ask them to check inventory, which is different.

Odd these hit RI and seem to have entirely missed PA. Argh.
