I'd say by listing on eBay he did let someone have a chance. There's no profit in selling an $87+tax item on eBay for $95. Their fees add up to about 13% on the whole transaction--they even charge you fees on your shipping cost.

Just checked my pro-order status, :"Item(s) on hold until release date: 09 / 23 / 12"

So it looks like (so far) the date was just moved back from 9/15 to 9/23.

If they ran out of stock I don't know how they have enough to put on the shelves without honoring pre-orders. That's messed up.

As it was explained to me it's bc the online store and the brick and mortar stores almost act like separate entities with each having their own stock/supply of figures. I brought this up while speaking to them earlier today.

Thanks for the clarification....still, messed up. My local TRU rarely has the hot stuff for more than 5 minutes, if at all.

"After researching your order i show that it is still in "Backordered" status. I have confirmed that your order is for a pre-sell item which had a scheduled release date of Monday, October 15, 2012. This release date is the date that we are expecting to receive your item in our warehouse. "

Yeah, that's what I should of done, good luck though, I would try to be at TRU when the doors open, I went to my TRU today and there was a line at the door about 9 guys (the usual line of collectors & scalpers looking for marvel legends, matchbox and other figures) 4 of those guys not including myself were all looking for...you guessed it MP Prime and if each store is only getting 2, you may not get one unless your there as soon as the doors open...as the old saying goes "early bird gets the "

Dude, seriously, people were as desperate for the TC in my area as they were for the prime...now...they had 8 TCs on the floor and an additional 6 cases...

kind of sounds like my area. My local TRU had like 6 TC's yesterday and the one in Times Square has had at least a dozen since a week or two after his release. Hopefully Prime will work much the same. Would be stupid if Hasbro didn't make enough, knowing Prime is one of their most popular character.

I'm wondering if the whole 2-per-box thing is just a stunt to make it seem rarer and make people crave him all the more. I wouldn't be surprised if they're holding out for the Christmas shopping season to kick in full gear.

You never know...With Hasbro's track record, trying to predict their release quantities is often synonymous with predicting lottery numbers. But then again, we can always hope!

Found 2 MP Primes today at a local TRU,not sure how long they've been there,grabbed 1 a left the other.Plus i had the 20 % coupon which brought it down to $87 after taxes,couldnt pass that up.Guess i'll cancel my preorder,but since it's paid for by paypal i almost want to get another to open esp. if the box gets beat up at all in shipping.But i would like to see another collector who preordered get 1,whenever they ship.Happy hunting guys .

It's still interesting how one store will remove tags and never get the item and another will actually get theirs. Regardless as to the actual reason it's too bad for fans keeping in mind the possibility that there may be fans or scalpers in that store keeping those items from ever hitting shelves.

So enuff of my ramblings, I went to a local TRU and I was shocked to see 2 TC on the shelf and when I looked up at the top shelf I counted not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 boxes for TC. I thought how could this be then I started thinking that this could be a positive sign for the much sought after OP...I hope.

Yeah, 2 of the TRUs here have had 5+ MP TC sitting on the shelf for over a week. (and remember the panic for him at first too?) I'm not going to stress on Prime yet, I'll give him some time. I can't see the flagship character for a series being short changed.

After the Tru rewards 20% off coupon expires, that's when all the Primes will hit. (Geoffrey has been working with Bane, no question....)

I was amazed it worked out for me with Prime,last year when i had a coupon i couldnt find Rodimus to save my life.Of course,he showed up later lol.
