Anybody know why BBTS or TF Source hasnt posted this pre-order yet ? Are they suckig up to Hasbro like they did when Hegemon came out ? Aurora is actually less G1 reminiscent than Grind Rod. Searchlight was a sports car and Aurora is a soccer mom mini SUV. Grind Rod was practically his G1 jeep mode.

Sucking up to Hasbro...?

Considering all the 3rd party stuff they've already sold and -still- sell... sometimes sooner than other e-tailers... that makes no sense. I'm sure they'll get their preorders up for it eventually, just be patient.

Yeah. There's still a lot of third-party stuff there. It will come.

It's highly likely BBTS will carry this product. As for the lack of a pre-order, please be patient (as others have commented). Many people may not remember but after GrindRod went up for pre-order, BBTS marked him down about $8 or $9 maybe a week afterwards. I know that was a decision maker in keeping my pre-order with them. So, maybe they haven't listed Aurora because they are negotiating pricing for it. Either way, I don't believe we can hold all e-tailers to put up pre-orders at the same time.

Was any concepts or prototypes of the full gestalt mode ever shown?

I don't believe we've seen anything yet.

I suspect that Heavyload will make the torso, Goldbug the chest/head, and Freeway and Chase will make the arms.

Not bad for BBTS I guess but Chimungmung have him for $67 inclusive of shipping!
Guess that would work out to approx £45/£50 shipped to the U.K.?
:D

Still a little disappointed in searchlight's alt mode. Grind Rod pretty much retained his G1 alt mode, but for Aurora they went for that neo crap and gave us a soccer mom's daily driver. Oh well, It will be displayed in robot mode. Or maybe Ill even combine them to form the mighty Throttler !

Also what's that white s**t on the roof of the car in the first picture ? Did he park under a tree ?

Its about time everyone started getting used to any updated vehicle mode for official/unofficial Transformers, its a reality, its here to stay!

As we can see the whole roof in robot mode and alt mode, I would guess the 's**t on the roof' may just be a light reflection from the windowed packaging?

I have to say the output of Toy World is looking really cool at the moment, and Im really glad they havent gone for the doofy brick-bot alt modes of G1.
Stick with the updates, Neo-style and your on to a winner Toy World! :D

Hegemon: G1-ish Alt mode

Grind Rod: G1-ish alt mode

Hardbone: G1-ish alt mode

Aurora: Neo chick ride

Im not sure what other "neo style updates" from toyworld you are referring to. Neo is nothing more than a Hasbro gimmick to appeal to modern day kids. Im always disappointed when it carries on to adult toy lines that cost $100 bucks a pop. Some collectors love it. I dont because I have no attachment to todays cars and planes. If the robot looks like his 1980's self, why change the alt mode ? For that just change everything and youve got TF Prime, Bayformers, etc. For me, I-Gears respect for the G1 alt mode makes them awesome.
