"Transformers 4" News Roundup 06/20/13 edition. Nothing too exciting to report, but we do have a few tidbits from around the web.

Seibertron.com member jasbo has updated his Flickr account with more photos from the filming in central Texas. Click here to check out his album.

Next we have a couple of updates from China. A couple of days ago we reported that "Transformers 4" had gained is first Chinese corporate sponsor in Beijing Pangu Investment. In exchange for their financial support their flagship building, the Pangu Plaza Hotel, would be featured in the film. China.Org.CN reports that the Pangu will be shown "blowing up" on film. If you want someone to destroy your building on film who better than Michael Bay and company!

Bayhem target acquired!

Beijing Pangu will finance production of the film. In return, the company's flagship building, the Pangu Plaza Hotel, will be shown in the film. The hotel is located near the National Stadium and Beijing National Aquatic Center, both of which "Transformers" producers would like to include in the film. Scenes shot at the hotel will show alien robots fighting. The Pangu itself will be shown blowing up in the film.

The L.A. Times brings us an update on the Casting Contest being held in China for four roles in "Transformers 4". The contest, which started six weeks ago, has drawn approximately 70,000 contestants. Those have been pared down to 2400, who are vying for the roles described as “action guy”, “tech nerd”, “sexy goddess”, and “cute girl”.

Ludi Lin hopes to land the role of "action guy", he's currently on the sort list.

Lastly, and this one really seems hardly worth mentioning, but Michael Bay says that any rumored "Transformers 4" titles floating around the internet are false. See his statement from his own Shoot for the Edit forums below:

Michael Bay wrote:There are rumors flying around from various media sites about the title of the next Transformers.

I wanted you to hear from me directly that we have not yet chosen a title and anything being reported is absolutely not true.

When we have a title to announce, I promise you will hear it from me first.

-Michael

Man that truck looks beat down. It looks like it took the film prop guys a long time to create that vehicle. I wonder what transformers character it would be. Maybe a Grimlock triple changer(truck-to-dinobot-to-robot). Or even better. It could Hot rod (because of the flames) before he chooses/scanes/becomes that iconic orange yellow sparts car.

I'm leaning towards it being a "downgraded" Optimus alt. mode.
