As a fellow IL dad of a 2 yr old boy, I'm curious about your statement. Is it the violence, loud explosions, etc? You think it'd cause nightmares?

I took my 2 yr old to Iron Man 3, and he wasn't really phased. Worse than that, he got bored and I had to take him out of the theater before the screaming started! #-o

Like Hasbro is going to do away with their prime moneymaking characters in the Transformers franchise. >:oP

Yeah because Shelfwarmers make loads of money :D

Shelfwarming is not Hasbro's fault; the blame is the stores and retailers for overstocking them with the idea that popular chara
cters sell better than mainline characters.

But hasbros the one that puts out 27 repaints of bee instead of figs the fans want >:oP

Ah, but what if I told you that there are some fans that did want them? ;)

Mindmaster, I love you, but your statements make no sense. How do you account for all the shelf-warming if BB is so popular? Unless you're stating that stores direct Hasbro's manufacturing by directly requesting BB...

Either:

A) the shelf-warming phenomenon is untrue, and what looks like shelf-warming is actually lightning-fast restock of a hot selling item...

OR

B)the overabundance of BB's in stores is a sign of retail incompetence.

You are adamant that it's not Hasbro's fault, but only a fool looks for excuses for what's ultimately their own poor performance. As a company, Hasbro should see what it can do to reverse the poor sales. Hasbro decides the assortment in each wave of figures, NOT the stores. The stores may order incompetently, but Hasbro should concern itself with END SALES and not just WHOLESALE & MANUFACTURING. The reason is obvious. It's the entire process of selling a product that's important, not just the beginning.

I really don't like to hear that manufacturers/wholesalers have no responsibility in the final retail sale. Manufacturers send out rep's to review displays (or even build the displays for the store themselves!), they work closely with retailers to ensure their products are properly marketed and sold.

Please stop insinuating Hasbro has no fault in any of these retail blunders. It's unproductive, IMO. It'd be much more constructive for all of us to stop pointing fingers and to simply list some good ideas our favorite toy company can use to reverse the shelf-warming phenomenon that will ultimately hurt or crush the TF brand.

The best idea, IMO and offered numerous times by many TF fans, is to start offering more variety. The McDonald's strategy: when times are tough, you EXPAND the menu to entice more customers; you reduce your menu when times are good, to maximize profit on customers already in your store.

Everyone's leaving Hasbro-shop, and Hasbro continues to pump out more and more BB's... :BANG_HEAD:

If Michael Bay confirms it, or we see Optimus himself tow one during filming, we'll call you back.

I don't get why everyone keeps saying the bay movies are ****. They're not, they're just a different take on Transformers. Keep in mind this isn't G1 reinvented, this is a whole different universe that's bringing Transformers into the real world. And if you don't like the movies, DONT **** WATCH THEM. There, your damn problem is **** solved.

And another thing about all the BB haters, HASBRO is a child-oriented company. Yes, a large number of consumers are adult collectors, but the bulk of the money from Transformers comes from parents buying Bumblebee figures. So it would only make sense to produce more Bumblebee figures. More to make=more to sell, more to sell=more to buy, more to buy= more money to make. Get it now?

And for everybody saying that Hound will be screwed up(I don't think that's on this forum though), he's being REIMAGINED, just like Optimus or Bumblebee or Ironhide or Ultra Magnus or Ratchet or Arcee is in every single incarnation that they're in. Hound is no different, and I personally can't wait to see what he will look like. So please, everyone, just get a grip.

I honestly find more hostility in the comments from bay TF supporters than haters, especially since the ones who don't like the movies, insult the movies. The ones who defend the movies, insult Transformers fans (there are exceptions, but just speaking generally).

I'll simplify this. Everyone has an opinion, there's really no point in telling people to "get a grip" coz forum posters will never change, and someone will always complain about how much the movies suck. Secondly, The distaste isn't at the fact that its being re-imagined, it's the question of how much is it being reimagined, which is too much for some because it seems much too different. Beast Wars probably had the same problems coz of how radically different it was to G1. People = different opinions, forums = people, forums = different opinions. Btw, having extra stock is never a good thing, as it costs money to keep it on the shelf, opposed to having products that sell well. Shelf-warming BBs are a sign of bad business, period. Hasbro probably makes millions upon millions anyway so that it really doesn't matter, but shelf-warming is always bad, and there's no question about that.

Solutions of how to fix that? Well, more variety, as it was said. I just picked up legends Hardshell, and I was thinking to myself... There's a deluxe bulkhead... thats shelf warming. It could be a deluxe hardshell instead of getting another version of bulkhead that was already done awesomely depending on which of the 2 voyagers you prefer.

I'll simplify it even more.

Want to talk about the pros and cons of the previous movies and the people who like them and hate them? Then go and start a thread to discuss it and leave this one to the original topic.

I can't agree with you more everyone compares the movies to g1 and it has nothing to do with g1. I thought the movies were great they were a totally different take on the franchise. I think the bots look great but when you turn them into toys they don't come out as good because the bots are highly detailed with a lot of moving parts but I think they did good with the leader class figures. IMO I just wish they got rid of primes flames for the 4th movie and I can't wait to see what his bot mode looks like. His alt mode kinda reminds me of classics voyager prime because he's more rounded.

I'm not sure I would like that. Hound is more laid back and easy going than loud and dickish. I think Harrison Ford, Laurnce Fishbourne, or Ted Danson would be much better

Michael Bay has given us a look at another possible Transformers 4 alt mode. This time it is a Lamborghini Aventador. Who do you think this could be? Autobot or Decepticon? Discuss in the Transformers Live Action Film Forum.

I can't tell if the side intake is yellow/gold or whether its just reflecting the sun. Id love for this to be Sunstreaker, but for some reason I'm thinking that this will be Lockdown.

Also, there's alot of black vehicles in tf4 :P black bee, black bugatti, half black corvette, the three black cars we saw last week on the back of the trailer, and now the black lambo...

I keep thinking of Wildrider probably because I recently bought the fansproject version.
With the Baymovies, you can never tell and more often than not it'll be completely different to what you expect.
Still for all their flaws they're entertaining.

Lamborghini Aventador! you are kidding right? Do we have better chances of getting this as a toy? Please make it deluxe and Human Alliance size, and give it the color treatment of the APS figures.

I really don't think the car is black! I think it's a deep gray color. Autobot wise: either sunstreaker, hot rod, bluestreak/ silverstreak,Blaster or finally smokescreen. Now Decepticon wise: either a stunticon, combation, old decepticon jet (thundercracker, skywarp, thrust etc...never know) and finally lockdown. Again just ideas

I will placed a bet the Stunticons are going to be in this movie. That Lamborghini has Breakdown/Wildrider written all over it.
