Is that complete set price right? That seems really cheap. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, it's that much more excuse to buy the thing, and Animated is my second favorite series.

Kudos to Shout. When the announcement was first made a while ago, I remember hearing that it would ONLY be the full set, and that S3 would not be available as a separate purchase. As one who already had S1 and S2, that caused all kinds of conflict in me. But with S3 available by itself, all is well...

Will the complete set include the 3-part beginning story "Transform and Roll Out?"

Considering those are episodes 1-3 of Season 1 I bloody well hope so.

Wow, the season 3 set cover is even designed in the same vein as the Paramount season 1 and 2 releases!

Aspect ratio: 1.78:1 - WIDESCREEN!!! :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK: That's enough of a reason to make me double-dip on it instead of just going for season 3. :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK:

And I wonder if "Transform and Roll Out" will be included in its original movie format (as aired on Cartoon Network) or in its individual three-episode format (as aired on the Hub). :-?

Good news indeed, even if we did know it was coming. The widescreen aspect is a definite plus, though I wonder if they'll include the extra shorts that were included in original releases?

Season three is the only remotely decent season of this show, considering the animation had improved. The storytelling was a lot better as well. The awful art and mediocre characters still prevent me from putting this series anywhere in my favorites, unfortunately.

This is great news for Animated fans, though.

I was just wondering, because Transform and Roll Out was released only as a feature-length animated movie and wasn't part of the season 1 set previously released.

Something in our favor of it being included is how the widescreen version aired on the Hub in episode form rather than in movie form, so these releases being in widescreen could give us the series opener in its three-part episode version.

I've been waiting for this release for quite a while. I pre-ordered the complete series, but have to admit that I'm truly disappointed that there's no BLU-RAY!! :-(

I didn't see anything about widescreen in there, but I'm guessing both sets will be, while the fate of the shorts still hasn't been stated?

Why os the full series boxset Amazon exclusive? And does it seem to anyone else like they're skimping on extras?

Can't wait to get S3. I've been stonewalled at the end of S2 for ages. The series is still really good - I wish they'd kept at it for another season or two.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that it's finally possible to own the full series of Transformers Animated on DVD, I just wish they'd included better extras, maybe made a bit more hype. And I'm still confused at the whole-series set being an Amazon exclusive. Did nobody else want it, or does Amazon just do more business than everyone else put together?
