Mr. Bay was and is perfectly capable.

I enjoyed it but think its overrated by some. Glad its doing good though, hope the 2nd is better. The humor was too overdone and it was like one big eBay advertisement. Some stuff went nowhere too or just ended abruptly. Very scattered. Was good though, I mean I liked the transformers themselves.

As much as I didn't care for the writing, I'm happy to see it so successful. I only disliked it as both a fan and as a writer, but if you're neither I can admit it was an entertaining movie. Hell, even I was entertained, despite my reservations.

What does this make it — somewhere between $90 and $100 million in three days? Three days and they got two thirds of their investment back. That is damned impressive. The more money this thing makes, the bigger the budget for the next one can be, and hopefully it will have the kind of script that will keep people wanting to see it over and over and proudly take their friends to.

Maybe it made enough that next time around we can see more transformers & less people, now that everybody & their horse have been introduced to the franchise......

.....how much do they charge for a horse at the box office?

That doesn't mean he's the best though.

I too was one of the haters and I say go see it, I saw it last night. I hope this move makes a S***T Load of money so it will open the doors to bigger and better things for Transformers down the road which in the end is all good for all sides, fans and Hasbro. And maybe there will be a whole new wave of Transformers fans new to the property who will start to see what we all are raving over the last 20+ years!

Beautiful, I really hope this movie puts a shadow over Spider-Man 3. Micheal Bay must be feeling really happy that he finally directed a movie that is breaking records.

I will be going tomorrow with the other half of my friends that couldn't go to the premiere.
