I hope the comics made for cloud are creepy-robo-tongue-waggling-at-little-girls-free lol that aside... I only dislike Megatron, send he has the same terrible head sculpt as gdo Megatron. Really hope they make rodimus!
You are aware that that thing isn't a person, right? It's an A.I. entity called SARA.

Besides, how many of these have we had so far? Only Kiss Players and 15 Go! Go! Technically we could count T-AI from RiD too, which was before Kiss Players. ;)

Why is this range called "Cloud"? Is the TF multi-verse, when viewed on a diagram, a cloud of some sort? Idk.

The primary location of the line's fiction is a dimension called "Cloud World".

As for why, I dunno. Japan sometimes uses words that sound weird to us but might be fine for them.

Possibly because the characters are from an intangible dimension? Or the toys are simply out of reach for most.

Well, that does explain it! Thanks!

We haven't heard much about the Takara Transformers Cloud line in a while, but thanks to Facebook page Planet Iacon we get a look at some in-hand images to TFC-AC01, Optimus Prime, and 02, Megatron, respectively based on the Classics/Henkei Voyager and the ROTF Bludgeon mold. In addition, some more Megatron images courtesy of MASABON1980, too, and some images from the included comic featuring the Generations Whirl styled Shockwave character, too - check them all out below!

That's not Generations Whirl. That's Cloud Shockwave who's an upcoming repaint of Generations Whirl.

Is it upcoming? We don't know. It's just as possible as the Hot Rod/Rodimus/Rodimus Prime from Springer. >:oP

You can hate me when I say this but, the Transformers: Cloud Optimus Prime looks better than the original Classics Optimus. I don't know why.

It's certainly more show-accurate than and not as cluttered in color as the original Classics version.

In other words, dull. Sorry, but between the AOE 2-pack release being toy accurate and this cloud release being show accurate in their colors those 2 come across as the LEAST exciting releases of this mold thus far. True, each one has one point of major interest between lots of chrome on one and a G2 soundbox reference on the other, but on the whole they're very straitforward and meh. Neither of these will replace Henkei Convoy IME.

Megatron look pretty sweet in robot mode, but his tank mode is drab as hell.
Regardless of the black roof, that Optimus prime have LESS paint aps than the Henkei! WTF?

Will this worth 100$ + shipping for each figures? HELL NO!

All in the name of show-accuracy. :P

It's very plausible actually, as all Cloud releases have been Voyagers so far, and molds and retools initially skipped by TakaraTomy (excluding Prime and Rodimus should he be next of course).
However, this is all rumor and speculation at this point, even until the 4th and final releases.

Wave 4 of Transformers Cloud - TFC-D04 Hellwarp and TFC-A04 Roadbuster

TFC-D04 is Hellwarp, a redeco of Generations Sky-Byte in Skywarp colors. The name "Hellwarp" is likely a homage to the Beast Wars II iteration of Starscream who upgraded into a robotic shark form called "Hellscream", with this figure likewise replacing the first part of the Seeker name with "Hell" while retaining the name's second part, giving us "Hellwarp".

TFC-A04 is Roadbuster, a redeco of Generations Roadbuster in the colors of Energon Ironhide, who was named "Roadbuster" in Transformers: Super Link, the Japanese version of Energon.

Looks like Transformers: Cloud finally got interesting. At the rate they're actually releasing the figures, these should be out by 2018 or so, right?

Transformers Cloud TFC-D04 Hellwarp and TFC-A04 Roadbuster Unveiled

Thanks to Dengeki Hobby, we get a look at the next two figures in the Transformers Cloud line. Using the Generations Sky-Byte and Roadbuster molds, we get TFC-D04 Hellwarp and TFC-A04 Roadbuster. These were on display at the Chara Hobby 2014 show.

Thanks to Seibertron member Sabrblade we learn that Hellwarp is a Skywarpish homage to Beast Wars II Hellscream, an upgraded cybernetic shark form of Starscream. Roadbuster is a homage to Energon Ironhide who was called Roadbuster in the Japanese version of Energon, Transformers Super Link.

Check out our galleries of Energon Ironhide and Beast Wars II Hellscream to see how the homages compare.

I was just thinking the other day that Sky-Byte would make a decent Hellscream and now here it is!

And my God! I thought Brawn was a lame homage to a D-list character among great repaints of A-list characters like Optimus, Rodimus, Megatron, Starscream, and Shockwave. Energon Ironhide? One of the most reviled toys and characters in Transformers history.

can we get hellcracker and actual hellscream now? Hellscream wouldn't be that hard of a repaint of the stock skybyte

I have a feeling that as more time passes we will be getting more and obscure character references in toy form. Who seriously has some sort of appreciation for Energon Ironhide and his wide array of facial expressions?
Desepticon? What's up with the people who make these labels?

No new tooling on Roadbuster.

Also the article left out that Hellwarp is a Skywarp homage more than it is a Hellscream homage.
