Indeed, you are correct.

Though, to be fair, it wasn't exactly clear in the film. You could tell that Megatron was headed toward Saturn, due to the rings, but it wasn't clear if it was the planet or one of it's moons.

I think the comics stated which moon, correct?

That's a comment better suited to PMs or not said at all. Do you forget that you're a moderator? Do you forget that it doesn't give you Carte Blanche to make a comment such as that? Even if you feel that way, you really don't have a right to say it publicly. At the very least, it should've been done via PMs. And even then, it's bordering on trollish behavior or a personal attack.

Blurrz wrote:You've got an attitude problem

That's also an issue that should be handled privately through PMs.

I agree, his wording was...grating, but you're supposed to either rise above it (as many mods and admins do) or make your statements privately, to him and him alone. Perhaps a complaint to your fellow mods and admins, but that's about it.

I agree as well. Please refrain from further discussion about this in this thread. The issue is being handled privately. Thanks.

Agree. Dosn't Unicron cast a shadow over the planets and moons he's about to eat in the animated movie? Probably in the marvel comics too, but I don't have them on hand to check. If so, then the title makes sense. It probably has multiple meanings, just like Revenge of the Fallen did.

Now as for Unicron *being* the moon, that's just silly and I hope that's not actually what they've done. :(

I think it would be a great idea to have Unicron be the moon! And at the end of the movie all the people have to move to that newly discovered planet by using the Autobot's technology.

Dude. Do you realize how TINY our moon is? It's a freakin spec of dust in the cosmos! Unicrackers should be gigantic enough to consume worlds at the very least, not some little winged gremlin that could only eat Rhode Island & wash it down with a lake before he's stuffed!

Yeah, they were pushing things in ROTF by grouping all the pyramids together in one spot, and that weird stuff with the Smithsonian museum/Washington DC situated in the desert, but Unicrombie in the moon is taking things too far!

I'm hoping they stay away from Unicron. No need! No thanks!

I think based on the filming and lack of rumors up until this point, we can safely assume Unicron is NOT in this movie. It seems like if Unicron was in this movie, that they would've needed to do a scene with a lot of people running at some point. I don't recall any scene where this happened, or anything that would make me think something on a larger scale than normal Transformers is battling on Earth.

You can see Saturn in the background as Megatron flies by.

Wow.

So many haters on the name and we really have no idea about the plot other than it wil some how involve the space race. If this is true, then the title seems apropriate.

Anyhow, its just a title. In the big sceme of things its not that big a deal. people will watch the movie regardless if its called "Transformers- Picnic in the Park".

It does make sense that there would be something on the other side of the moon, and how easy Frenzy and Blackout hacked into top secret files and may have fund out about mining on the moon for Helium3 makes a cgreat energon source. Its also much closer to strike at Sam and the Allspark... ;)

Third roar.

No I didn't. They just used the post. I never contacted them. Actually I've read about the title on TFW2005 and all the credit goes to them as I said in my first post (though Seibertron didn't gave them the credit).
And by the way the title is official now. And according to Bonaventura it appears that the film crew are returning for another month of shooting in Chicago:

Also according to comingsoon.net:

" the URL www.transformersdarksideofthemoon.com redirects to www.michaelbay.com. The site appears to be registered in the name of Matthew Cohan, who served as an associate producer on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

So there are possible minor changes to the title.

I think that the title has to be hidding somthing. Dont want to read to deep tho, considering I have no idea what the main plot of the movie is. I think that Bay will make it fit.

Screw "The Dark of the Moon."

How about "The Chaos Bringer" or something similarly cool? I get the familiar impression that Bay is completely abandoning all TF historical precedent again. Apparently all the TF creators, collectors and fans are wrong about what is really a great way to do Transformers. Bay has a direct link to the Creation Matrix.

I concur! I can't stand 'of the' titles and I knew TF3 would be yet another, but I actually like this one! :D

I like the subtitle as well. It is dark and sinister, as the plot is supposed to be.

Regarding homages to the 1986 TF movie, with the exception of Starscream betraying (and maybe killing) Megatron, I hope they never appear in the movieverse: Unicron is too "out-of-scale" for a live action film (as once said by one of the producers still in 2009), and replacing Optimus leadership by Rodimus is IMO the worst ever story-line within the TF mythology.

Apparently, fans aren't the only ones upset by the possible subtitle of Transformers 3.

Entertainment Weekly's pop culture blog, Pop Watch, has created a post lampooning the title. It should be noted that neither Paramount nor Hasbro have confirmed this is the actual subtitle.

Have a better title? Post it in our forums! Stick with Seibertron.com for all the latest Transformers 3 news!
