The hell's a digital locker!? I'm seeing people playing the demo and I don't know how they got it!

Edit: Nevermind, I got it! I got the code!!! I'm downloading it now. It'll probably take all damn day, but oh well. I'm hoping it will be worth it!

Finally got to play it last night. Bumblebee mission is a ok. I did noticed the AI improvement as I tried to flank a decepticon and he kept finding cover and avoiding my shots. Haven't played Vortex mission yet but looking forward to it based on comments here. Multiplayer is still a blast like the old WFC days. I noticed significant lag last night but might be just the one server I happened to be put into through Quick Match. I've had this game reserved at Gamestop since May so can't wait!

Any game play tips for demo so far?

Its nice that the campaign saves your progress as far as leveling up, but for the life of me I can't find the 5th audio log in vortex's level.

I have too much fun zipping around the first section to look for the first three, lol. I haven't found the fifth one either. :-(

Greetings fellow Cybertronians,

The full, legendary Transformers: Fall of Cybertron saga begins on August 21st when the game hits retail stores ... but before that, we want to let you know about our downloadable demo available now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network.

This feature-packed demo gives fans the opportunity to sample both single AND multi-player modes in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Gamers can experience the explosive first mission as Bumblebee desperately battles to save the Autobot starship under heavy attack from Megatron and the Decepticons. Players will also get to take control of Vortex in a non-linear assault mission, changing from chopper-to-jet-to-robot however they please while engaging in blistering firefights on the ground and in the air. As if that wasn't enough, the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron demo also allows fans to get a taste of the game's robust Transformers character customizer, and take their newly created bots straight into Team Deathmatch and Conquest online multiplayer modes.

In order to provide the best experience for gamers at launch, High Moon Studios will be carefully monitoring the multiplayer action for player feedback and balancing data. Fans are invited and strongly encouraged to direct their comments to the team's Twitter account: @FallofCybertron, https://twitter.com/FallofCybertron.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will hit retail stores here in the U.S. on August 21st. For more information and updates, fans can visit www.facebook.com/TransformersGame and www.TransformersGame.com.

I'm not finding the demo on the PSN Network. I don't think it'll be up to later this evening (eastern time zone), which is when the PSN usually updates.

the US PSN normally updates around 6pm EST every tuesday but there are times when it updates early or later or even never. I played the demo yesterday and i have to say im not that impressed with it, the game play is anything but non linear and the graphics are horrible. There are a few nice additions like the weapon upgrading & the ability to change what hand the gun is in but removing the co-op was a bad idea. Not only can you not replay the levels as another character but you cant replay it with friends so theres really no reason to play it again other than to get collectables (if there are any). The multiplayer customization is a cool idea but needs more, the color selection and how you select them needs to be upgraded and you should be able to make a different character for each faction if you want to not just have the same bot in different colors. I have the feeling that this one isnt going to be as good as the first one, i will save final judgment until i see some reviews on the full game but based off the demo im not going to preorder.

I have to agree with you on the customization issue Megatron Wolf, it seems like they took 2 steps back for the color selection. While I consider WFC to be lacking in colors already, this is just a shame. The only thing that gives them their "claimed" thousands of customizable options is the ammount of parts, and the fact that you can change the shade of your colors from matte to shiny metallic. I'm sorry but I want the freedom to be able to create other characters from the fiction not in the game, my own creations, or throwbacks to other versions of characters ( come one, if you saw a G2 Tcracker colors seeker running around it would crack you all up). I know that alot of people weren't satisfied with the color pallette in WFC and gave feedback on this issue, and unless they prove me wrong in the full game, this just shows me that High Moon doesn't pay that much attention to their feedback, they do somewhat cause they did give us the Dinobots and host migration FINALLY.

I wasn't impressed with multiplayer. I'm not even gonna get into what classes are overpowered/underpowered. A lot of depends on the skill of the player IMO. I do like the customization of the different pieces of the tranformers but the color thing sucks. All they did was replace the color chart with pre-made selections and an option to make them shiny. Very disappointing. I miss double jump a lot and not having grenades (other than the scout emp ability) sucks big time. So does having only one ability now. And now a scientist is pretty much a glorified healer who is a much easier target since they eliminated barrel roll. No vehicle abilities/weapons almost make vehicle mode kinda useless. I did enjoy the game play of the missions however. I still have high hopes for escalation as it is fav thing in WFC.

I also must add that the host migration is probably the best thing they did. The ability to swap weapon hands is really nice too.

I enjoyed the single-player missions, shame they ended so soon.

PROTIP: In Multiplayer, use a Titan with Energon Harvester. That weapon is so retardedly over-powered, it's great.

Loving that Whirlwind can be cancelled out of mid-attack, but I'm missing the weapon drops. Being a Leader and finding a dropped Scrapmaker netted me so many kills. Oh well. I did see at least one person running around in Sideswipe's skin, which makes me think they were probably press, as that skin is locked until the full game is released.

So far, things look good. I've only jumped into multiplayer,as I want to save the story for when the game gets released.

Edit: Joeville, I've pre-ordered. Do you have a PS3?

IMPORTANT: High Moon studios have stated your stats don't carry over to the final version of the game!

I'm sad to hear all the negative reviews! I LOVE what I've seen of the demo! based on the Demo ALONE I'd rate it higher than WfC! :(

I hope to compile a review video before the game hits about why these reasons are.
Some of them are thus:
While I was long ago depressed at hearing the drop of co-op, I'm far more pleased with the gameplay and story of the campaign this time around, and the audio recordings that add to the story, and blueprints that add to your arsenal in the Teletraan store MADE me want to go back and replay the level! I still haven't found one of the recordings and want to search for it again to hear what it has to say. This is far better, IMO, than the destructible Abot and Dcon logos of the past. These collectibles actually add value to the rest of the game besides completionist props.

On the gameplay, I'm VERY IMPRESSED with the controls! My first day I was a little tentative as I played the first level, but it was set up well with the learning curve, and I picked up the controls quick enough to feel confident when I got to vortex's level (until the end where the AI thrashed me a couple lives, LOL). The new controls really shine in multiplayer, as they make the bots so maneuvreable. I really enjoy the weapons, after I've read up on them and found out what they're good for. The customization is fun, especially the elite, dino, insect & gestalt heads which really shocked me. I LOVED finding out about Dragstrip and adore his alt mode.

On the colors, I said it during WfC, I'll say it again - I have a hard enough time keeping track of which team I'm on and who's the opponents (though I'm very slowly getting better) that extra colors would probably kill me mid-match. Between both factions I can usually find something that inspires me on a character creation level. I understand the frustrations on not being able to make the perfectly customized transformer - but I'll leave that for the mmo. I'm not concerned about always being in a fight with possibly ambiguous enemies on the mmo.

I see tons of ways that HMS has listened to and improved on WfC extending far beyond the Host migration - the customization of parts being one of them. More and varied weapons, better distinguished (no class has the same weapons or anything, even alt mode speeds are different! [FINALLY in a TF game]) and more balanced classes (the only class I'm not good with yet is the destroyer, which at least I can still break even on the KDR), the deeper, more involved and intriguing story in campaign (IMO, I'll leave it at that)....In playing this demo, it far exceeded my expectations. HMS went above and beyond to me.

And, It Is Him, you can get the Sideswipe skin by choosing his chest when you get to level 6 or whatever. :D Some of his parts, and his entire "rig" are locked, but you can definitely unlock the chest, head, arms, & shoulders. :D Same with Ratchet. :)

I can't wait for the 10th when they raise the level restriction so we can get to those other weapons and character parts and upgrades. I cannot wait.

I did not know they planned on raising the level restriction on the 10th. Where does this info come from.
On a side note, for my scientist, I started out with the heal ability then switched to the sentry gun. I switched back to the heal ability but now that my scientist 2 has been unlocked, I am unable to select the sentry for either of them.
I'm on the fence about them resetting the stats when the game releases. Part of me wants what I've unlocked already. The other part of me wants to earn it from the full game.
Sorry to hear that some have been disappointed about the game.
I, for one LOVE the demo and cant wait for the full game.
Maybe somewhere down the road, they will have a dlc that allows for co-op campaign that allows for multiple character selection.

I'm only into Multiplayer but I played through the Vortex level; it was fine, although I got tired of this:

"Hey Blast-Off!"
"Yes, Vortex?"
"Where are we going, Blast-Off?"
"This way, Vortex!"

As for the Multiplayer: Even with all of the enhancement, character customization is kinda weak. I understand why they limit body types by class, but there should be like 100 selectable heads, all available in each class. You could re-mold for eternity. The gameplay was fun but didn't feel far removed from the previous game. I prefer double-jumps & weapon drops, both removed from FoC. The weapons for the Destroyer class are worthless, & Conquest mode is OK, but it'd be better with a smaller map or more characters. Here it's just drive, capture, drive, capture, & so on. 6/10.

Just downloaded the PS3 demo.

Not impressed by the low res of the graphics or that the game crashed as bumblebee left the bridge.

The graphics have clearly had a lot of work put into them but I don't think it's rendering at 720p which is the mode my screen jseems to be in. Think its a much lower res that is being up scaled to fit.

Sound was excellent though.

I'm not sure If I want to keep my pre order now. Shame.

Update: no crashes on my 2nd play. I enjoyed the single player levels. The graphics issues still stand but once you get into it they don't matter so much.

Does anyone know how to use the abilities in the MP demo? I press R2 and nothing happens. Am I suppose to wait till a certain bar is at full? Which bar should I be looking at? The bar around R2 is at full. There is so much new sh*t to look at now on the screen, What am I not doing or seeing?

Okay I loved the Demo. Cannot wait until the game's release. but here are the things that bugged me

Campaign
-Vortex level was really nice and open but I had no idea where to go most of the time. It took me awhile to figure out where the objective was at.
-You can only have a primary weapon and a heavy weapon. I really wanted to run around with the Neutron assualt rifle and Path blaster but was only given one choice...

Multiplayer
-Destroyer and Titan's vehicle speed is SLOOOW.
-The removal of vehicle abilities. The car's flip,the truck's ram,jets's barrel roll,and tank's 180 turn.
-Wished the destoyer had some-sort of automatic weapon and not just power weapons.
-the Color customization was WEAK!!! I would like to use the old WFC color palate more then the new FoC version. Hopefully they change that in the next few weeks.

Other then that,What an AWESOME game. Cannot wait til 8/21.
