Well... That was unexpected. I wonder why they would do this?

Probably for people who got frustrated with trying to get to lvl 25 and stopped playing, so now they'll come back.

I'm still waiting for some way to get G1 Prime for free, I refuse to pay $10!! Let him be something you can buy with the in-game credit!!

I'm also waiting for the destroyer class to add a cassette special, where if you pick soundwave's body you can deploy Ravage and such for your special ability (and for the other characters they can be mini cons).

Soundwave's ability made his brief playable stage frighteningly easy. Throw that in multi it breaks the game.

This is a "low blow" for me. I worked hard for my elite prime, playing for months every opportunity I had. I feel I earned it. I couldn't play all the time, I have a family. So now after sacrificing what time I took from my family, they do this! Just so some bragging idiot can run his mouth without even considering the sacrifice of earning it. Everything on a silver platter! What a waste! This is a shame, let others earn it the way we had too!!! I congratulate those who earned it, it IS/was a badge they earned. After this, I'll probably never tell anyone congrats again.

no need to get hysterical about it. The multiplayer community is probably in decline, the game has been out for some time and they probably want to retain the gamers they still have. Im sure this is a massive blow to the ego of a lot of gamers, and will provoke an angry response, but its double XP, not free DLC, not free money and they havent destroyed anybodies childhood.

I'm never any good at this type of multiplayer game and for some reason I was extra rubbish at FOC and kept getting hammered, so I gave up. This might tempt me back for another go.

That's the problem, I'm not a gamer! I played it because It's Transformers! It isn't ego! I die far too often. I worked the old rear off, just to get Prime! If it was double to begin with, making it fair for all, I'd say nothing at all. Now the hard work is a free give away in my opinion. I'll play regardless just to get better, and have fun with friends, but I'll still feel the same. That's like slaving at a job for 10 years for minimum wage for some 18 year old who knows nothing about life, fresh out of high school to just step in with no knowledge of how to do the job and make $25 an hour while you stay at minimum wage. Screw that! Call me old fashioned, but before this Prime was earned. I'll respect the old guys, long before I will the guys earning it easy.

Could really care less. I was one of the first to hit max Prime. But, on the other hand, it's stupid because now people can level up crazy fast now. Also disappointed that High Moon's practically given up on Fall of Cybertron, just as they did War for Cybertron. You don't see 343 abandoning Halo: Reach now, do you? >:oP

Mindmaster, that's my point exactly. They can rack up so fast, when you and I like the other guys/gals had to earn it the hard way. Congrats by the way! (I will still tell a person congrats if they earned it!)
So, CONGRATS!!!!

Well I only have one class to go to get Prime. I think I only have to get my scout to lvl 25 and all my characters are lvl 25. So this just helps me a little, but hey I'm glad they they decided to do this again. But I never expected it to be forever.
The only time i get to play video games now is just during the weekends when my wife is stil asleep. I normally wake up around 930-10 and I play video games till my wife wakes up which is around 1230-100. See I have a full time job and grown up responsibilities. (Ie mortage and other grown up bill)

I played multi-player solid and got all but the destroyer class up to level 25, with my destroyer at 19 before I got a bit bored and moved on to another game. I appreciate how folks like jrgreer74 would be annoyed by this, having put in double the time of anyone only just starting out now, but I'm not going to hold it against any of those gamers because High Moon decided to do this.

If I'd played FoC for only half the time, I'd have missed loads of awesome moments of gaming awesomeness and feats of skill, and I'm not necessarily talking about my own. :APPLAUSE:

This is never a good sign. Multiplayer must be pretty dead then. Been a while since I've played it, just been too much else for me to play.

No, the multiplayer is somewhat lively. My group, Cybertron's Elite, and I play Fall of Cybertron pretty often, and there's always enough players to pit us against.

In response to Sodan-1. It took me longer because like Duo, I have responsibilities, and I'm not a gamer. I don't play games for hours on end, day after day. Longer yes, but in shorter times actually playing, like Duo. I can appreciate Duo's side, because he earned his too, though he isn't finished. I can appreciate your side, being it is pretty boring playing the same maps time after time, but you have also earned yours. My previous posts must not of explained enough detail for the point to be reached. My point - If you played it and ranked up, being finished completely or not, before this update- You earned it, it wasn't given away. Congrats!!! If someone goes out today and buys it, and two days from now is elite, they got there only by double xp. Therefore they didn't truly earn it, guys like Duo did, you did, I did. Is that so hard to get? No disrespect to you at all, or to anyone, but a cheat is a cheat, and double xp is a cheat. For the record, I just made Prime last week, so yes this week I'm a little upset. If this would of happened two or three months ago, I'd be clapping too. I could of spent more time with the family and lived up the double xp. My question is why does my comment offend so much, I never post anything in these forums, go look 10 things in all these years, but I state my opinion and everyone pounces? Maybe I should return the favor every time someone cries that Hasbro didn't add enough paint! Now that is crazy! Now you know why I don't say anything at all.

You measure value of a game to the amount of time you play to get achievments?

It's an awesome game with a fun multiplayer, story, characters etc. How could that be a waste of 60 usd? Which game do you actually enjoy and think is worth 60$?

This is extremely off post topic here, but a good question none the less. Though it may sound crazy. If we want DLC's and they say that they can't afford it. Why can't those in the TF community donate. That sounds crazy, but what if every fan was to give up just one figure to donate the money to the developers. Give or take $20 times how many fans + gamers who want updates? Or maybe just a small team to work on nothing but updates. It doesn't have to be for this game but maybe the next TF game they have planned, if any. Pull the Microsoft plan, everyone on board for development and launch, then one or two for updates until they phase it out. The question would be, would anyone want to donate and lose a figure? Would you give up a Generations figure, or a Prime BH figure for it? Maybe? Next would be, is $20 per person too much or too little? I'd give it for just the characters that are in the book (Art of the Fall of Cybertron) that were never used.

Well, that kills any hope for a Sludge Skin or Dinobot Missions pack.

Easy fella. ;) I didn't mean to "pounce" on you for your comment. I apologise if you felt I was singling you out to pick on, but you simply struck me as the strongest voice against this double XP forever. Like I said, I can appreciate your position and how you may feel cheated of your time, especially when gaming does not comprise a significant portion of your life. Mucho props for maxing out your PRIME mode, and I thank you for the praise you offer me for my levelling up, even though it equates to less than half the work and time you've put in. I haven't taken major issue with your comments (so, again, apologies if that's how it seemed) but I do disagree. Surely there's nothing wrong with that.

I just think it's a bit harsh to call anyone only now starting out on the multi-player modes cheaters because of something they can't control. The options they have is to either earn double XP or not play the multi-player game at all. What if some kid has had to wait until now to get this game as a birthday present or has only just gained the ability to go online? It's a bit unfair if he's immediately bombarded with everyone calling him a cheater because of what Activision and High Moon decided to do. And they're not exactly giving the Elite status away. Players will still have to earn it. They just won't gain the same amount of experience and wisdom you have.

I just wish they would give us something more to do past lvl 25. More unlockable content, more customizable head pieces, gear, weapon upgrades.....something? Its just all over after lvl 25. Even your money/points keep accumulating into the Hundreds of Thousands but its all useless because you cant use it for anything because you've done it all.
NO endgame content at all. You just keep playing in vain and for the sake of leaderboard vanity.

So thats why i leveled up so fast i was wondering why. I bought this game late actually about the middle of jan. I'd have to say though im glad i got it it's fun as hell. I remember it taking me absolutely forever to level up all 4 classes and unlock prime mode in WFC.

I have not noticed a difference. Unless the day I finally opened my game it changed. Because I got mine like right when january started. I had the usual 400 XP per kill. Still not at Prime Though. But I rarely get frustrated. Cause well, it's all part of the game. You gotta lose to find the way to win is what I say. The XP in my opinion is not that way.
