Did my part. I figured there are enough medics and recon/scouts going around and WAY too many close combat specialists, and I never really liked the idea of a transformer with psychic powers (though Soundwave and Mindwipe at least do it right). So I went with Bodyguard.

Not so much psychic powers but his sensors are so sensitive that he can seem to read the "thoughts" of other bots. Or at least it can make him hyper intuitive. Read it on a box somewhere. I forgot about Mindwipe. Silly me.

I kinda like the idea of an Autobot mystic/psychic type of warrior/character. Somethin different anyways. As said before...there's certainly enough recon, medics, close combat bots and whatever else out there already.
I know a telepath may be a dumb idea to most in the TF fandom but it's outside of the box enough for me to make it the most interesting of the choices provided. And if you use the SOundwave example of having hyper sensitive sensors than it can be very plausible. Plus there's enough ancient mythos and whatnot in the the cannon that a mystic type character could work.

I am with you on this. I mean, for the last 30 years, the only "strictly female" figures that gave us strong female characters were tied to Beast Wars and Prime. I mean Generation One, especially Binaltech, only gave us characters that were molded from male characters. And every other series gave us an Ariel/Arcee that was either just there or created to give the males moral support.

And IDW is another reason why I voted female. Will vote again tomorrow. And all because I still feel that the way Simon Furman allowed Arcee to exist was very messed up. To the point that I would prefer forgiving Michael Bay for Revenge of the Fallen first. :BANG_HEAD:

Energon Arcee/Super Link Ariel was a strong-willed leader type (in the cartoon, that is).

However, in her introduction, they stated that she was solely created to boost the morale of the other male Omnibots. Which is, ironically, the one reason why I was planning to buy her Medic variant... Up until the point they announced the "Arms Micron" version of Arcee. ;)

On top of what Sabrblade said, Prime Arcee's rather strong-willed and determined (especially when it comes to her annoying revenge arc). She was Optimus' third choice for the "bot-in-charge" behind Ratchet before Ultra Magnus came along, so she's trustworthy in the position of leadership. She can be male moral support, and certainly takes a "motherly" position at times, but that's to small extents.

ROTF Arcee and her sisters were the biggest offenders to the fembot concept. Bleh.

Ummmm... *poker face*

Like Sabr said, I did mention that incarnation of Arcee. Plus, following trends based on the vast number of manga and anime characters, her character aspect is similar to that of a main/major character. Borderline on Claymore, as that was nothing more than atypical to the more generic Shonen formulae. Specifically, replace all the male characters with upgrades and enhancements... And you have either/both a manga series and/or anime series starring Arcee. But they, instead, went with the Rouroni Kenshin approach and allowed the more powerful character (or characters) take center stage. Either way, I love it and she has ended up being the only incarnation I would not change.

Also, while the "Bayverse" itself has many levels of offensive. However, it did not create the "Binaltech" incarnation of Arcee, which was based on a very masculine looking mold. And her story stated she was disposable, but still was saved. "Animated" Arcee (which resulted in my returning to this hobby, and is tied to why I own "Arms Micron" Arcee) was a potentially great character that was wasted on a drab series (A coma? Really?). Then there is "IDW" Arcee who was forced to get a Cybertronian sex change... All because Simon Furman once said he hated the fembots, but added her because that is what the fans wanted. But beyond that, all of the larger G1 figures were repaints of male characters, and one that could have been a female was... In turn... Used as a male figure.

Hence why I voted female. Because the first female figure did not debut until Masterforce, and that was a redeco/repaint of Nightbeat. We would not see a collection worthy female character until Beast Wars... Then have forgettable figures... And be reminded again of how great it is to collect fembots in Prime. So back to seeing if I can vote today! :michaelbay:

Marissa Fairborne was pretty cool. Not a fembot, of course, probably, but the G1 cartoon did manage to make her more than a damsel, and give her a more interesting character in S3 than Carly...who basically just hung around in the background looking stalker-y.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Ramjet, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Blurr, or 3rd Party Motobot Arcee, iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

Honestly, take away all the skeevy stuff (and there is a LOT of it, but take it ALL away), and the story's not all that bad.

Part 1 deals with Galvatron post-TFTM crash-landing in Tokyo and devastating it upon impact, which spurs the formation of the EDC, who begins an anti-Transformer campaign to remove all TFs off of Earth, while any who don't leave are hunted down by agents partnered with Autoroopers, while the recently-revived Optimus and his human ally Marissa Faireborn are on the run as fugitives. Meanwhile, the ex-Rodimus Hot Rod and his human ally also hunt Optimus, believing him to be an impostor since Hot Rod watched Optimus die in TFTM's events not too long ago. Behind-the-scenes, a sadistic plot is afoot within the confines of the EDC, as its head plans something life-costing and insane, yet sympathetic, that could lead to disaster, and involves playing God with human life.

Part 2 deals with the former EDC Kiss Player girls having formed a music group be encountered by a mysterious trio of TFs called the Sparkbots, who whisks away the girls and Brave Maximus (who was assisting them with their music tour) on a time-hopping trip throughout space and time as they hunt to collect fragments of what they believe to be the "AllSpark". But, all is not what it seems as their journey leads to divine intervention by Primus himself trying to stop them. It's multiversal madness as characters from all series and universes make cameo appearances and continuity errors get retconned and resolved in this dimension-hopping adventure.

And that's all forgoing the skeevy stuff, which was mostly just perverted fanservice.
