The robot mode is fantastic. The rest of the figure...not so much.

Well...doesn't that suck? :-(

I still don't get why he simply doesn't have an intact turret on his back like the original did so those arms could go into filling in the gaps in the other modes. It seems like the designers just don't care about filling in the hollow chunks anymore.

I can see why they don't make that many triple changers any more. Transformation is a finicky mess.

I'm still getting him regardless since Lugnut needs his pal.

Way to dash all our hopes and dreams, Hasbro. :-(

I'll still pick him up, only for the sake of Springer having a nemesis (outside of Octane and Astrotrain) and adding another tank to the collection.

I hope and pray to God they get their **** together and fix all those problems.

One Word- Devastated

I removed my BBTS preorder and will not be searching for this figure. I'm really saddened by Hasbro's total lack of quality control and execution of this figure. I can only imagine that Springer will me much worse. A rubber nose cone and misaligned parts all around?...are you kidding me!! :-x Sorry BBTS...maybe I'll save that money for Metroplex. :BOT:

Haha! Looks fine as long as you don't ope it out of the box, pick it up, touch, transform it, play with it...

Hmm. Well, that's discouraging. But I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet, so...

Makes me wonder if the Takara Version will fix some of the problems he mentioned when it comes to plastic quality.

Whoa now, let's not jump to conclusions/jinx us... :-s

Hopefully Springer will be the silver linings in the proverbial cloud. Hopefully.

Oddly relevant, considering the situation:

I can confirm that Springer is a MUCH better figure. That video review is uploading as I type this and will go live a little later this evening.

Not just the clips at the shoulders. "Tabs" in jet mode do not tab in like they are supposed to, the nosecone is apparently a bitch to transform into either vehicle mode, uneven tank treads, he can barely hold his gun, and possibly more.

But he stands pretty well, and he has RhA's originally-named "dongsword" that he has no trouble wielding, so there's a couple of positives...

See? Silver lining in the clouds.

Ha ha ha ha. He's FREAKING OUT because those tabs won't lock in.

Personally, I'm thinking that's a woulda-been-nice-if-they-tabbed-in. While not perfect, I think all three modes are looking fantastic. Thinking with the new info it would be getting an 8/10 instead of a 10. :-?

I appreciate the honest review though. I'll make sure not to be drinking too much coffee when I tackle ole Blitzwing. >:oP

Sorry to say but they usually don't. Once the mold is set and the plastics are chosen that's it. All we can hope for is that it'll look better.

I wonder if there's any sort of sanding or filing that could remedy the issues with the nose cone. Hmmmmmmmm. :-?

Either way, this will look great on the shelf.

I also have a pretty snazzy idea for a custom out of this guy. Makes me wonder if they have any repaints in store with a new head, etc. Overcharge anyone? Shattered Glass?

Overcharge, yes.

Shattered Glass? Possibly, but not for straight-up retail. Try BotCon exclusive.

Wow, so much pessimism and negativity based on one review.

Personally, I will break out the Xacto knife when I get mine to fix those mishapen pegs, and use my usual methods to stiffen any other loose or tight joints, pegs, etc.

I am still very excited for this guy!

Yeah, I was just curious for interest regarding repaints. I know any SG version would be for the club or Botcon.

Has SG Blitzwing ever appeared anywhere in fiction?

Glad to hear Springer is better!

Those in-hand photos we saw the other day look much better than this. (Jet mode in particular)

I've watched his reviews for years now, and he's the king of mistransformation. I like his reviews.. But sometime he just doesn't get everything quite right, which then skews his opinion of the figure.

I'd like to see what peaugh has to say.

I would suspect as much as well, but you know me: I live in optimism.

I don't see a problem with all three modes. They look great to me , and any "problem' that it does have , doesn't seem to be that bad. . I think we need to remember that we are being just being ridiculous, nitpicky 30 year olds with such a dorky hobby. I can find problems with any transformer mold that I have that are just as bad as this. This beats any "movie " figure by the way. Again, this is just my opinion. I also notice how the reviewer screwed up the head mechanism as well. I'm reading that people are cancelling orders and such. That's stupid. I'd say wait, till you see like 1 0r 2 more reviews. Or just by the figure and return it, simple as that. This is a classic case of Hasbro giving us what we want, then we get all nitpicky and bitchy about little things; then, sales go down, so we end up with more crappy figures and repaints that we didn't ask for. I'd rather experience the transformation for myself actually. Good review though!
