According to an announcement on the Transformers: Legends blog
, a small team of players have provided evidence suggesting that a different team of players may have exploited a hack in Transformers: Legends
. An investigation into the hack was launched, and now information is being made available about the scale of the hack and the volume of players using the hack.
Despite copious rumors and speculations, the investigation revealed that only one of the attempted methods was successful in altering game code, and only one method actually netted results. While the hack did not allow players to bypass purchasing, it did allow players utilizing the hack to repeatedly purchase the same tier within a certain tiered Space Bridge, thus creating an unfair advantage. The number of players who actually took advantage of the hack was less than a dozen players. Transformers: Legends
has stated that they are working hard on a fix that will roll out soon to prevent the use of altered files from being used in the game. Guilty parties have had their accounts permanently banned. The team at Legends
made clear their apologizes that the situation took a few weeks to work through, but expressed that they really wanted to do things right.
