I couldn't even hit 90 battle cubes before Arcee started appearing for me. **** knows who I'm suppose to last another 6 days.

On the plus side, helped out Evolution Prime who's another Seibertron member.

Weapon: Dual Bladed Sword
Man, I was hoping that I was making up some ground with my deck power approaching 7700. Double XP NEEDS to happen again so I can get some of these cards online sooner to make a difference on the later bosses.

Its hard to tell if I am any better off of this stage of the episode than last. I am in the top 2000 with over 300 cubes to play with. But thanks to the switching up of the first strike rewards this time around, I probably won't stay above 300 for long.

As usual, the silver medals continue to impress. I have gotten many 3s already, including the Ramjet B, the last of the rank 3 cards in the cyberdex that I needed. I also pulled a 3X Slipstream bot mode with the silvers. I guess that card is a 4, so technically that drought is over. But being that its an episode card, the odds of pulling it are probably higher than a regular 4. Is it comparable to pulling Cliffjumper and Dirge from the last events? Everybody pulled them, right?

The gold medals? Its a much smaller sampling but I cashed in my free 10 golds and got nothing but 2s. We'll see what happens going forward.

A quick look at the rankings shows 'Kon way up there. I couldn't find anybody else from Seibertron. I hope Burn has been paying attention and isn't missing anything. Its been quiet from the other side of the pond as of late.


I haven't seen it announced anywhere but I believe double XP is working because I leveled up slipstream MTM very quickly. Usually 8 buzzsaws get me to about lvl 13 and it took me to lvl 19 like the last episode. Also, I've got her weapon up to lvl 5 with 8 rare 3 weapons, most of them starscream since I spam that mission.

So far I've cashed 3000 silvers and got rare 4 soundwave alt. Nothing else of value.

I'm sitting over 200k pts and still not seeing anything harder than arcee lvl5.

Also, I want to know how some guys are getting pts so fast. The episode started at 6:30 central and I played the moment it started all the way to 12 midnight. 5.5 hour and I was at 100k pts, 1st place was well over 250K. WTF, how can they be that high when I played nonstop for 5.5 hours from the beginning. Also, playing nonstop, I still never broke the top 50, I got to 57 before I gave up for some sleep. Right now I'm in the top 300.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thats close but the lesson is yet incomplete. The real lesson to be learned is that this game hates everybody.

Heres a question for the number crunchers out there: For your 3X and 5X cards, Scan or not to scan? Initially, it seems smarter to scan the cards. But, then you take a card that gets one of the biggest bonuses out of your deck, since two becomes one, and replaces it with a card that may not get a bonus at all. Does the extra power from the scan make up for the loss of bonus due to the scan?

So is it better to have 4 non-scanned 5X cards or two scanned 5X cards in your episode deck?

That is true if you want to advance QUICKLY.

I'll be honest and say have patience, if your iOS and just got dropped right in the middle of everyone that was high rank and can't compete in this episode, just do your best and win what you can. Only use 1 cube to help others because you get the full pts for the enemy. Spread those cubes out across many enemies in hopes to get a bunch of space bridge medals. The silver medals for some reason are dropping rare 3 cards at a higher rate than the gold cards (at least in mine and joesaysso's experience)

When the first episode happened in December, I only had r3 ratchet and r3 chromia complete and I was not doing good at all.

By the end of the event, I had 2 R4 cards and a handful of R3 including a complete optimus and shockwave. I didn't have many cards to lvl them up with so that was a long trek to get them up but it does take time.

I've only spent $20 on this game, if I could do it over, I wouldn't have spent it at all because it really didn't get me much further. I did it because I wanted to win R4 snarl really bad, but by the end of the episode, I had spare cubes left over, so I really didn't need to spend the money anyways.

That's my opinion, take it for what its worth.

Mine did an update at 7pm central. Logged back in but I'm still getting nothing harder than lvl5 arcee, sometimes a lvl4 arcee, but mostly 5.

Has anyone seen chromia or elita yet?

I believe the general consensus is max level transcanning is the way to go.

I agree that would be the general consensus and I would agree longterm, yes, that would be best. But has anybody crunched the numbers? Remember, an episode isn't longterm. Its very short term. You have to do as much damage in the short term as you can.

Here's a simplified example: lets say, hypothetically, Episode Thundercracker is the 5X card for this episode. According to the Legends Wikia, TC's max attack, non-scanned, is 11,331 and his max attack scanned is 20,396.

Using those numbers, lets say you have 2 bot and 2 alt mode TCs, all at level 65. If max attack is 11,331, multiplied by the X5 attack bonus, mulitplied by 4 individual cards, you get a total attack of 226,620.

Now if you scan those cards: max attack 20,396, multiplied by the X5 attack bonus, multiplied by 2 scanned cards, your total is 203,960.

Simple math says that scanning may not be the best in the short term. At least this is my line of thought. I don't claim to be a mathematician though and I could be missing some factors. If anybody has any insight regarding the matter, I'd love the input.

I was thinking the same thing joesaysso.

Although, that is for one round of attacks and since the 5x doesnt include health or defense, they wont last near as long as a transcanned card would, which MAY enable the transcanned cards to get more attacks off, bumping the prospective damage capability up quite a bit. Even if they get 1 more turn they've already outran the single cards.

Guess that depends on what boss you're battling and assuming your MTM cards dont die from a boss that can one shot them. But if a boss is that tough, you couldnt kill it anyway.

So many factors to include.

In case anyone doesnt know the abbreviation, MTM is max transcan max.

As an iOS player, I'm struggling heavily just to stay in the top 10,000.

On the plus side, I have a much stronger deck than I did two days ago when this episode started. On the flip side, I don't see how I'm going to get too many more points going forward. Just too weak.

I'll start this with the caveat that I just started playing the game yesterday. However, despite my inexperience with the game, it seems to me that you're missing something in your considerations. For the sake of argument, I'll assume your math is correct above (not necessarily the formulas, but just the calculations). If you take your 4 TC cards (two bot, two alt mode) for a total attack of 226K, you're using 4 cards, with an attack value of 56,500 per card. If you scan them and get 204K, you're using 2 cards, with an attack value of 102K per card. You've also got two other card slots to fill, and again with an assumption, that would likely exceed the gap you've then created. It seems that if you've got cards that are maxed, you should be able to fill in the gap and exceed the 226K you would have had with the 4 TCs.

Again, new player, not sure about the math behind it all, but 102 is obviously greater than 56 and if you've got some comparable cards (save 10K value), then you could exceed your 4 TC scenario. Maybe it depends on the values in your deck...? If your maximum value for any 4 cards is less than 226K, I'd stick with the four TCs.

Obviously, if I'm looking at this completely backwards, let me know. Trying to figure out some of the intricacies of the game.

Indeed, what you are saying is correct. But here's the things to consider: This is a short term scenario. You've only got 7 days. Once you transcan your cards, they go back to level one. So now you are losing time in your short term scenario leveling your cards back up. Your total damage output will be severly reduced while your leveling your newly scanned card.

Number 2, Regardless of whats in your deck, there is only one 5X damage card per episode. So once you scan both of your TC's, whatever you replace the two cards with, its unlikely they will be able to equal that damage output of a non-scanned 5X card.

What you are saying is surely true for the long term scenario. Having the highest attack value per card is best. But in a short term, episode scenario in which 5X and 3X attack are in play, I'm not certain that its better to scan your cards, there by reducing the amount of cards in your deck that get the bonus and losing time while you level in the process as opposed to leaving your cards unscanned and having more cards in your deck that get the bonus.

I am going to transcan my cards to experiment. Let it be known that prior to the transcan my deck power with the recommended setting is 8182.

Im paralyzed at the moment. I will not lose a bc to Chromia that only earns 5600 points. Time to sit and watch the ranks fall while I wait for better returns on my bc to get here.

Oh and I turned in 8000+ silver medals for 1 rank 4 Prowl and 1 rank 4 Bumblebee....which I think are the lowest rank 4's in the game.

Being that you are so high in the ranks, you have that luxary. The last time I did that, it derailed my whole episode. I was thinking the same thing as you but I'm nervous that will hurt me in the long run. Regardless of where my rank ends up, its imperative that I accumulate enough points to earn a Flamewar weapon card.
