The Jhiaxus/Flywheels Mosaics by Simon and me belonger to the latter, which is our take on the IDW+WarWithin continuity.

Huffer topped himself?

Im fairly certain the car wash is paying homage to the "wash and roll"" from #31, there's a Blackrock sign.

The death of Huffer at the hands of Flywheels is the last act of the "friendly rivalry" between Simon and Novastorm73. They have been "at war" since the day Simon included a reindeer in a Christmas Mosaic and, as Novastorm73's favorite character is Huffer, Simon tried to off him in every way he could.
Simon even designed a Beast Wars Huffer with a reindeer alt mode.
And, of course, Simon's favorite character is Flywheels, which he wrote and penciled more than once (see his DA page!).

Thanks for sharing the background. It makes sense now and adds humor and depth to the piece.

Huffer died during the battle of Autobot city. In the third season episode Dark awakening Danielle names off 4 Autobot laid to rest in the Autobot funeral barge, Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl, and Huffer, Maybe they ment to say Brawn since he died with the other three. I would love to read a story of what was going on else were in Autobot City during the battle.

Sadly, no: there are bits here and there. On the DA pages of the two guys, in the comments to Simon's Mosaics (the Xmas ones)...
