The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

I'm sorry Xaaron, he just doesn't deal with that.

Awesome mosaic!

Needs more commas.

"Emirate", not "Emrite".

"Sought" not "sort".

Other than that, pretty cool. Xaaron comes of as being very Alpha Trion-y. ;)

As a fan of the Mosaic series, I have greatly enjoyed the way enthusiastic TF Fans have come to produce some of the most brilliant one-page-zingers sorely lacking in other fan communities. Occasional gems add to the richness of the Transformer world, sometimes better than the officially licensed comics...

Then something like this comes along. Crudely drawn, poorly written and completely nonsensical, this has got to be one of the worst atrocities in the Mosaic "canon."

For one thing - seriously - how hard is it to check your spelling before you submit your work to worldwide ridicule? Surely putting all that effort into your submission would warrant that last touch of editorial care... otherwise, in my opinion, the whole effort is wasted.

So... the plot of the comic is that Ultra Magnus is really Optimus Prime, and the Optimus Prime that was mortally wounded at the Battle of Autobot City was actually a stunt double to dupe the Decepticons?

So is this trying to enplane why Magnus is usually just a prime repaint or is there something more to it?

Dang dude, I know there needs to be a correction here and there, but that was seriously too harsh.

I thought the art was nicely classical.

The point of it seems to allude to Ultra Magus being a Prime clone? Unsure.

I like the art. I need a little more explanation about the crystal and Ultra Magnus. What's the background story?

"Whats the back story?" I don't get how people can't understand what is happening here.

Let me break it down.

Prime is the leader. They prepare for the journey of the Ark, as a precaution to potential decepticon disaster, Xaaron had a copy of Prime's mind and personality stored into a crystal (kinda similar to Prime being stored on the floppy disk in the comics)

We all know about the decepticon attack on the Ark and the resulting millions of years in which they laid dormant. In the mean time, The autobots still on Cybertron were likely hurting (and losing lots of battles) without their leader. Xaaron decides to build a prime like body with the intent of passing who would become magnus off as prime himself. Had the cons not attacked the storage facility where the crystal was held and partially destroying it, the new bot would have been optimus prime (which could have ultimately led to so many stories including Nemisis prime) Ultimately, Xaaron built Ultra Magnus to resemble Prime with the hopes of him being the new symbol of the autobots on cybertron, the new leader who only leads because he has too.
In a nutshell, it was to fill in the leadership gap while prime was on earth without cybertronian contact for an unknown millions of years.
