With one of the most shocking plot twists in June's issue of MTMTE, i09.com follows up with a preview of Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye #7. I certainly can't even take a look at it because I don't want it to spoil my review experience when the comic is released next Wednesday, July 25, 2012. But for those who aren't spoiler shy then enjoy the five-page preview below!

TRANSFORMERS: MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE #7

Artist: Alex Milne
Cover: Alex Milne, Nick Roche

DECEPTICON MONTH! The war's over - but no-one told the DECEPTICON Justice Division! Meet the five deadliest DECEPTICONS in the galaxy. Their sole purpose: to hunt down and kill anyone who has ever disobeyed MEGATRON. Who's their next target?

I do like the look of this one. The cover had me thinking of Soundwave with the Decepticon influenced face of Tarn.

Some, if not all, are named after Cybertronian cities, at least cities in other continuities. I was wondering if Tarn and Vos are actual cities in the IDWverse.

I can't help but imagine Tarn sounding like Beast Wars Megatron.

My only problem with the current comics is the use of comic only characters. Isn't the whole point to sell Transformer toys? Seems a shame to briefly show the likes of actual toy characters like Black Shadow and Acid Storm and then kill them quickly. Those kind of toys are crying out for decent characterisations.

That said, I'm liking Tarn and his team already so hopefully toys will follow soon. I'm not against comic only characters. Just seems a shame that the likes of Tarn, Turmoil and Rung don't have toys.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this issue.

Ok, colour me seriously interested.

Yes, they are. Tarn and Vos both show up, albeit briefly, in Megatron: Origin and Chaos Theory pt. 1. Iacon is then also mentioned in The Death of Optimus Prime.

Oh, and I forgot: they all feature in issue #4 of MTMTE, when Rewind's showing Tailgate the history of the Great War!

Agreed.

I'm not keen on these guys being named after Cybertronian cities, but each of them transforming into torture devices is bloody awesome. I'd love figures of each of them. I think this team of Decepticons will be one of my favorites. Making Black Shadow break is hardcore, man.

EDIT: Is that actually meant to be Nightbeat, Kup, Hardhead and Optimus in the 113th Battalion?

EDIT-EDIT: Oh yeah, and Magnus. I'm guessing the yellow guy is someone too but I can't put a name to him.

All of them are AWESOME! :D I want a Kaon toy. I mean who doesn't want a toy of a Decepticon electric chair?

I'm guessing their next target is either Overlord or Drift.

Very cool. I definitely want that team of Cons; their alt modes are a seriously refreshing change that is welcome. Some great writing in this one, too. Vos is awesome with his old cybertronian language. See, THIS is how you do a "silent" character 8)

EDIT: Looks like Tarn wears the faction symbol as a mask and isn't his real face. Gota get a figure of him.

DOTM Que could make a cool Earth-mode Rung with a new headsculpt, I feel.

I think it says the same of Soundwave... Would be cool if HE was also a member of the DJD, current or otherwise. Would also go with his consistent loyalty to Megatron.
