Anonymous sources have informed us that this is Takara's version of Hasbro's Leader sized Weaponizer Optimus Prime that will come with a Arms Micron Matrix that can combine with other Arms Micron figures, though these details should be considered rumors until officially confirmed. The BBTS product description indicates this will be a limited edition and may include bonus Microns. It's priced at $119.99 and scheduled to arrive in October. I just am not digging this, with having first ediiton Prime locked in his box it is tempting to get a filler and have posed in a display box but Mehhhhh???? I have the two silver dual Prime rifles from Dr. Wu and would like to get them in action. Ohhh well have to wait for the Clear Version First Edition. Overkill Yes........warranted YES...need more TF's LOL. I can't wait for MasterMind Creations Cyclops anyone know what's up with the delay?

Makes sense for it to be the Weaponizer, but 5 Microns? That's a bit much.

So for the weaponizer Prime... are those just shoulder accessories, like the USA mechtech, or are there microns involved? Anybody have an idea? A bit out of the loop.

I don't want this figure (if it is indeed the Weaponizer figure) but the lure of Microns has pre-ordered it for me. Curse my weakness!

Gads. I do hope it's not the weaponizer one. You can tell it's definitely more of a kids-toy version of Prime. Mind you, I DO want the minicons.

Yeah, if you break it down at $15 a micron (total $75) and $45 for Prime, it's a little easier to stomach. But still. Friggin' ouch!

Quick update on Takara's AM-21 Arms Master Optimus Prime that was listed yesteday, site sponsor BigBadToyStore has posted a teaser silhouette that does appear to match up with Hasbro's Leader Class Weaponizer Optimus Prime. The product description has also been updated:

Grim Master is a cool name. Sounds like a Darth Vader type of dude. That's Dinopope, yes?

Also, more Microns are never a bad thing. Not interested in the Prime himself though, so will be missing out on these little dudes. Since it looks like he has a sword/halberd sort of thing, I'd say Ratchet's maybe Arcee's, likely his own, maybe Soundwave's, and Bee's?

Yeah, don't want the Optimus figure. Going to wait and see how awesome (or not) the Microns are.

I am definitely looking forward to this version. I hope it is similiar to the one at last year's Tokyo Toy Show. Prime needs some heavy equipment!

JapanWorld.IT has revealed the first image of Takara's Arms Micron AM-21 Arms Master Optimus Prime. Just as we reported a couple of weeks ago the figure is Takara's version of Weaponizer Optimus Prime with Arms Microns that can form a Matrix and gigantic sword. Images mirrored below.

Holy ****, this is the First of the Japanese Prime Line Exclusives I'd really want. Kinda cool how the Matrix becomes the Hilt of the Sword like Prima's.

Under almost any situation I would just buy the American version of these figures but I like the minicon swords on this one so I think for the first time since the Car Robots series I will buy a Japanese version.

Goodness darnit! Is that just the Matrix Micron and Ratchet's one? I still really want it. Matrixsword FTW!

This is like a bassackwards Transformers Armada only this time around it's the cartoon that kicks ass and the toys that suck. I actually got a kick out of collecting a very large amount of the Armada Mini-cons and I have to admit that some of the bigger figures weren't too bad but I am not at all impressed with the TF: Prime line one bit and these "Arms Micron" gimmicks are underwhelming. That farce of an over-sized matrix is just hideous.
For those that are happy about the line, cool. I'm glad for you and you can enjoy my share. I will be sitting out on this toy line much as I did with DotM.
