And Soundwave. Holy smoke, Soundwave was completely missing from this movie!

Yish, addressing spoilers out of context makes my head hurt. My thoughts are pretty much the same, but I wanted to call these particulars out

1&2 go together so here goes:

If Megatron is dead and can't go to the all-spark, making him go to Unicron instead, A) is he in "Limbo" (Like we really need another region of not-space for that word...) or in a Unicron based Allspark? Does this in a roundabout way show what the Cybertronian allspark looks like? A bunch of Cybertronians walking around the body of a sleeping god talking to each other? Cause to this point its always sounded more like a mixing pot and one's distinctiveness tends to fade.

And to that same point, we've killed a lot of Dark Energon infused cybertronians already. Vehicons, mostly, although Prime tends to handle those more like spark bearing Cybertronians in matching uniforms than anything else. But if they're dead, and we kiled poor Cliffy back in Season 1 with Energon breath, why doesn't he get drawn to Unicron? And if Skyquake expires in the Shadowzone, what about his spark, will he return to Unicron? He did have a lifesign, as did Cliffjumper, the Autobots tracked him same way they did Megs in the movie.

3)Matter of debate, but since Soundwave was Shadowzoned, does he stay on the Nemesis doomed to forever stalk its halls or is he drawn to Earth since its a big honkin' space object with its own pan-dimensional gravitational pull? Ifd the latter, did poor Sounwave have the Nemesis pulled through him? Either way, I suspect if anyone could restart the war, it'd be him, and its propbably n the Autobots best interests to NOT go back for him, but sureley they know he's still alive, at least until he runs out of Energon and is forced to power down.

Cliffjumper and Skyquake wouldn't go to the Anti-spark since they died before they were infused with Dark Energon. So there sparks joined the All Spark already, but Unicron might've still used there bodies.

Before typing that up, I went to get a second opinion about this from someone more knowledgeable about life, death, and the afterlife, and she said that, if one is completely dead in the physical world, but their soul, despite having fully left the physical plane, is being kept from entering the afterlife (which encompasses Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory), then their soul is probably stuck in limbo.

Which does fit here since Limbo as a place has appeared before in TF fiction. ;) http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Limbo

Viruscarnage already covered Cliffjumper and Skyquake, and pretty much anyone else who was ever infused with Dark Energon after already having been dead.

Megatron, however, was still alive when he used Dark Energon, so he couldn't go to Primus's Allspark after he died. Not with the Blood of Unicron having coursed through his veins.

On top of that, When Megatron first put Dark Energon into his Spark Chamber way back in episode 2, it was treated as a sort of unique experience that had never been done before, suggesting other Dark Energon infusions were merely performed on the user's body rather than than their Spark (and by extension their veins) itself.

I just meant that he didn't visually appear onscreen at all in this movie. Or even get a mention by anyone.

If he was there at all, he was fully invisible to all of the audience's senses the whole time.

Well, to be fair, since she's only seen maybe 3 episodes (as you said), she might have felt cheated out of getting to know the character better before he died.

Unless she had other reasons. ;)

Playing the Unicron card, zombie card and the dead leader isn't dead card again?

Well, not necessarily a zombie card. Megatron is very much alive while Unicron is in control of his body. Kinda like how he was when he was in his coma during the better part of the first season, being somewhat aware of his situation (well, at least when he had possessed Bumblebee).

Pretty sure we're not making out of this movie without hearing 'one shall stand, bla bla bla' again either... But I'm gonna enjoy it anyway.

Morning,

Well if you missed the movie premiere on the HUB (my sucky cable package does not come with the HUB) and cannot wait for October for the Blu Ray/DVD combo pack...you can watch an okay resolution video of the entire movie on You Tube. I watched it last night and it was quite entertaining. I will not provide spoilers, but I must say for an hour long movie there is a lot going on and I think it flowed very well all the way to it's conclusion. I would check it out before the vid gets too many views and gets taken down off the site. The link is below or you can search for "dron dreev" who loaded the video on You Tube :-B . Enjoy!

Some people have a concern about what lines of dialogue are spoken in something if they feel said dialogue (or a lack of it) might be important to them. ;)

It hasn't aired on the Hub. It won't air on the Hub until October 4th (the DVD/BR comes out October 8th).

The leaked online uploads of the movie come from someone having gotten a copy of the DVD ahead of time.

I watched Predacons Rising last night as well and it completely blew me away. :D For me, it solidified PRIME as the best Transformers animated series ever. It succeeded in doing precisely what Seibertron says the fiction is all about; it made me want to go out and buy figures I otherwise wouldn't have bothered with.

Seriously epic. :BOOM:

Ouch. Bummer, man. #-o

Well, we're spoiler tagging everything to be courteous to those who haven't yet seen the movie and/or instead want to wait until October before seeing it. I don't think there's a way to turn off the tags without having some kind of behind-the-scenes access to the system or something. ;)

I just watched all of Season 3 and the movie today and I have to say that Transformers Prime was the best show ever in the franchise. It sucks that they have killed it after only three seasons. They could easily do a Cybertron reclaimed series, though, it would be a little similar to what is happening in the comics.
Watch the first of my youtube series, Friends Transform.

Well, how was the way they "killed" this how any different from how they "killed" any previous series (besides Animated, which was indeed cut short)?

The more I think about it, the more this movie feels, to me, like a sort of response to all the fanboy wishes for future live action movies.

I mean, how often have we seen posts from people wanting the next TF movie to have any of the following:
  • Unicron
  • A story set entirely on Cybertron
  • No humans
  • Full focus on the robots
  • Less Optimus Prime
  • Less Megatron
  • More characterization for the non-Optimus/non-Megatron robots
  • Megatron being upgraded into a form that's not still named "Megatron"
  • Bumblebee to talk permanently
  • No toilet humor
  • No excessive crudeness in general
  • No Michael Bay
We hear these kinds of fan wishes all the time, and this movie has delivered in just 65 minutes all of what three 2 and a half hour long feature films failed to deliver (not that we should have been expecting any of that for the live action films, mind you).

I think the only things missing from this movie that fans kept asking for are the Dinobots (which Age of Extinction will be giving us), Megatron's upgraded form being named "Galvatron", and for a movie that would have all of this to be one that would be released in theaters (which really doesn't matter in the long run since both theatrical movies and TV/DVD movies all eventually just end up as commercial home video media anyway).
