Site sponsor Kapow! Toys has listed the first wave of Weaponizer class figures from the upcoming Transformers Prime Beast Hunters line. The figures include Optimus Prime, Bumblee, and Ultra Magnus! According to Kapow! Toys Bumblebee is a retool of his existing Weaponizer mold. Ultra Magnus will obviously be a new mold. Whether or not Optimus Prime is retool or a new mold remains to be seen. Links listed below.

Weaponizers? Really? The current ones are crap. I hope there are powerizer versions of Prime and Magnus as well to go w/ deluxe Bumblebee.

That's putting it mildly.

Optimus Prime was a joke, I shudder to think how they'll butcher Magnus.

I have yet to see a Megatron figure listed for any of the Beast Hunters information, and these last two pieces of news show an Optimus toy. Possibly no Megatron in Beast Hunters?

I Don't understand the hate, I love weaponizer Prime, more then any other incarnation from the Prime line.

I'm thrilled to hear a Large Size Ultra Magnus.

YAY! :KREMZEEK:

Either Ultra Magnus is going to play a major part in this series, or Hasbro's going out of their way to snub Megatron and the Cons.

Megatron (and Starscream) will probably get something down the road, but chances are the Predacons will all but replace the Decepticons, both in the show and in the toys.

I wonder if the rid figures suffered because the were designed to be retooled later on for the beast hunters line.

They did, there's no doubt of that now.

Regardless of how good any of these figures might be I'll continue to be a scale Nazi and buy only those that make sense next to the other figures.

You'd think by now Hasbro's learned that giant Bee's don't necessarily sell.

Sure the Weaponizers suck, but even if the new toys turn out to be marvels of toy technology, what's the point if OP has no Megatron to fight with, and Bee's just too large to fit in with the rest of the cast?

UM sort of makes sense, especially if he shows up in the third season.

But the only place Bumblebee belongs is in deluxe class, and in his original colors.

In all fairness, HA Bee was really quite good as well.

But generally, yes, stick to the deluxe size for carformers. >.>; Once again, that slot should be given to megs.

Megs might just be keeping his current design and so wouldn't need a new Beast Hunters toy.

Although, I would love to see a Voyager Megatron with his Prime arm. :D

That might be the Arms Micron Megatron Darkest figure. ;)

Meh. Weaponizers.

If it weren't for their hollowed out, doofy looks and the out of range size class, I'd be all over them.

Since that's what makes them what they are, they're a total pass.

My only problems with Weaponizer Bee is that he's just too large to fit in with any of the other toys, and those ugly hollow front wheels on his forearms. Otherwise, he's a decent figure.

My daughter loves weaponizer Optimus so that means I do too lol. Though honestly even if she didnt like it I think its a cool large figure with a fun gimmick, at least for a bit.

For my display I would really like to see a weaponizer Megatron.

Ill probably grab weaponizer Bumblebee for her this holiday season too.

I just got Dreadwing in the mail from hasbro last week and after transforming him and displaying him I think I'm done with this line. The frustration of finding figures and then if you actually do find them it is a disappointment. The FE figures were good, but what came after is very hit and miss with more misses that I count. Even the show is lacking, the stupid kids are to big a part in it. I was really hoping it would go back to Cybertron for season 3, but I called it when I said why would shockwave have to bridge to Megatron. I see this turning into the old RiD transformers show.

How are they stupid? They're better than any of the Unicron Tirlogy's human companions.

I wanted a Cybertronian setting as well, but I'm not going to say the show's digging it's own grave because of it.

They're really quite competent...well most of the time. Much like Prime Starscream is the most competent Starscream ever, they've made the most useful bunch of kids thus far, and to top it off they aren't completely omnipresent; there are plenty of episodes without them, or with fairly little of them.

My thoughts as well! Can we get another firey battle to the death in the planet's core?

While the kids can be grating, their portrayal has been very good when shown in the second season. I was actually disappointed with all the hubbub surrounding Jack get deflated after Prime returned.

I will say the kids are a necessity for the show. The first season showed the viewer how well the Autobots work with both themselves and humans - and then the finale shows how well Megatron and Optimus can work together if fighting for a common goal.

The second season showed the division among the Decepticons, culminating in Starscream re-joining Megatron, and Megatron's show of force involving Dreadwing. Megatron is dead serious about working together - lessons he learned from watching the Autobots work with the kids, then MECH working with and then against Starscream, Airachnid's betrayal, and finally with Silas appropriating Breakdown's corpse rather permanently. While Megatron does not wish to work with humans, he does realize he needs to work together with his own faction. This realization can be almost directly attributed to the human intervention present in Transformers: Prime.
