I'm liking these figures. The way I see it I like the designs of the movie Transformers (mostly) but they're usually too complex to translate well into the figures. Step up the simplified Prime designs.

And now to nitpick: Why is Bumblebee bigger than Cliffjumper??? FAIL!

That's cool. Don't worry I've had my share of harsh words from others myself. Not here, but in other places online. I truly understand your opinion. If you knew my history you would know that to me Optimus in G1 was the dad I didn't have and always wanted. I decided instead that he was the guy I wanted to be and in turn the dad I wanted to be. I served in the U.S Army, then Law Enforcement, Church, etc. trying to model the life the cartoon hero inspired. I can only hope my daughter, when she is older will see why I loved Transformers so much and tried so hard to be like my hero. I may come up short sometimes, but if I can get close, just maybe she will see I tried. So trust me I know exactly what you mean when defending G1 and the way he was then. I'm right behind you 1000%, but when I look at things I try to look for the hero he was, not the things that others say he has become. Like the argument over how he did in DOTM. Though I was never in combat, I've had friends who were and talk a lot to vets when I'm at the VA. From what I've learned from reality, I'd probably of done the same thing. Why, because reality is this. If the Decepticons were real, they would never quit, they would never ever stop until all of us were dead. We face the same reality today. Look at the wars we fight today. Violent men alike kill regardless of who it is, their own people or strangers. So do the Decepticons. Do we allow these men to destoy our world today, like the Decepticons did their world? Or do we give up the fight to save our planet, by not fighting any more, but surrender all our freedoms and become their slaves. Trust me, like the Decepticons they won't stop until we are dead and gone. A new Bad guy will always arise somewhere, to carry on the fight until nothing is left. So can we really blame the road Optimus took in DOTM? If you knew today that if you fall, your family and friends would all die after you and you were already wounded and weak. If you could save them all, would you pull the trigger, even if you lost your life? He had to kill unmercifully in the end, because if he didn't, all he loved would have. Sad trade off I know, an eye for an eye end up being everyone is blind. But I'd rather fall knowing my wife and daughter are free from oppression, than to die wondering if they will be slaves or worse! If I'd admit that, why then would I put my hero down for doing the same thing?
So know that that's of my chest, on to the figures, again! I absolutely love Cliffjumper! I was afraid Hasbro was only going to do the Zombie version. Seeing him here makes me so much happier! I hated that he died the first episode. He has been ignored so much in the past, and he was such a good character. Then they finally do a great character of him only to kill him off in the first show!!! WHY???? Especially with the Rock as his voice! My best friend is not a fan of Transformers, but I helped win him over with the movies thanks to Ironhide. Then I talked him into the shows because he likes the Rock. Now he isn't so happy or involved with it anymore, because the killed his favorite characters off, both of them. Movie Ironhide and TF Prime's Cliffjumper! How can I keep him interested if Hasbro allows them to kill of the best ones? Except the big man himself that is. He is always reborn, unless Hot-Rod sticks his foot in the door!

I just realized it is almost 6am and I'm rambling on over things too much. I had better get a little sleep my daughter will be up soon. I apologize for getting to deep, and if I hurt anyone's feelings. I just think we should look for the good in our heroes, no matter what. Every show deserves it's chance, cartoon or movie. They are still our heroes, whether they are perfect or not. Hasbro and others have been good at giving us new characters and shows, even live action movies. We should at least give them credit for that, they could of just stopped at G1, and they didn't have to even give us that. It's just a business. Legacy, thanks for talking and sharing you opinion, I enjoyed it. I agree on the Star Wars thing too, although they did change it some when they did the new cartoons, and the figures for the series. Really kiddish, like Prime is now. But, that is just my opinion. Have a good Day/Night, which ever you choose to call it. All the rest of you here have a good one too!

First off, thanks for your service to the country, regardless of how much or how little. My grandfather fought in the Pacific Front of WWII and growing up I idolized his war stories that were passed down to me. I agree with everything you said. I too have thought about the actual implications of if Transformers were real...and the bottom line is the human race would be screwed...I don't think they would be polite enough to keep their affiliated symbols visible to us puny humans...all we would know is crazy robots are killing us, screw the good versus bad routine (in other words Autobots would have a hard time proving their good intentions).
My main beef with these figures is they seem too "Animated" looking. I noticed the scale was off with one another as well D'oh. I got a little frustrated with Hasbro earlier this year because of how they pulled the RTS line off shelves by liquidating them to make room for the DOTM line,however they didn't liquidate the other Generations red card stuff that had been on the shelf longer than RTS, and the red cards are still there on shelves and still $12 a pop at most every store I frequent...I can't make rhyme or reason out of those big whigs in charge at Hasbro. I wish they would communicate a little better with us their loyal fanbase instead of "This is what we're putting out and by god your gonna like it." Like the absence of Windchargers in the U.S. so far LOL (I'm still stopping at every CVS I see, lol). So this whole TF:Prime line is a pass for me for multiple reasons. I don't watch the show religiously, just an episode here and there. And also much to the amazment of most of you ,I'm sure, here it is almost November now and I still have not seen Dark of the Moon. Amazed? So I have no idea of how violent Prime waas in that flick. I was so depressed after ROTF that I vowed never again to watch a Bay flick. I visit this website enough to have gotten all of the spoilers so in a way I kinda have seen it blah blah blah. I'll watch it eventually I'm sure, but I'm not gonna spend money to do it. I'm sure Bay/Spielberg and the gang are doing just dandy without me. Again I agree that G1 Prime is one of the most iconic fictional heroes in history and someone said above that TF:Prime is the best cartoon since G1, and thats totally true, no doubt. But I just cant get into it or this new upcoming toyline. Thankfully I've got some Generations figs and some 3rd party stuff to keep me occupied for the time being. The only scenario I can forsee involving me purchasing TFP figures is if one or two ends up being rare and I buy them to sell later on ebay. And HotRod would never stick his foot in the door (yeah right)

Whew, feb would of been FAR to long of a wait for me. Glad too 'cuz there no other figures i want right now and i REALLY like to spend my moneys.

After reading a majority of this thread, I think TF:Prime has captured a bit of the nostalgia that people are looking for (people like me), while keeping it fresh and modified for this new generation of TF Fans. I agree, it misses in places, but it has told a great story and at least kept things moving without too many standalone episodes that don't fit the overall direction of the series. The designs of the characters are very much a new age idea and while they reflect the Bay-verse designs, I do believe that they took the G1 designs and characters to heart, solely to capture the essence of each character. That's why I love this franchise, new writers and animators bring new ideas and takes on something we all love. These toy designs are stellar and how they fit the animation models is actually quite impressive. It's hard to make an animated character design into a tangible object, and as far as these go, they have hit a homerun. I like that Cliffjumper and Bumblebee have their own unique molds. Alas, I won't be buying these due to some personal budget cuts. Gotta pay off school loans sometime...

Side note: Anyone notice that the Fall of Cybertron Cliffjumper head is the same as the TF:Prime one? Are we actually starting to see Hasbro's thoughts of "bringing together" the games/animated series?

I think so. And I'm so buying this Cliffy just because he looks so different than BB. Since I can migrate Animated Arcee to be with my classics, why not Prime Cliffy.

Anyway, these look awesome, especially CJ. I just realized, I may decide to get this one as I like the fold out gun-hand instead of the big Mechtech-looking thingy on the other mold. Mechtech is one gimmick that needs to go away.

LULZ. I must have these! I don't know why everybody seems to think they look like crap. I think they're pretty good! Voyager Prime, Bee, and Arcee are definite buys for me.

I've never seen a TF vid with so much background noise or such awful camera work!

Most definitely not a hater! I love this show and the figures. I would like to see Ratchet in toy form though, and more/closeup pics of Bulky. I want him and Cliff the most!

Do I have my issues with the Prime series? Sorta. Did I have issues with Animated? Some. With the movies? Tons. But overall, it all gets over shadowed by what we're looking at now, some really neat toys. The second I saw Cliffjumper on the first episode, I wanted his figure. Kinda sad that my desire for his toy outlived the actual character in the series...

And you can't be upset with evolution. All the greats of the past have done it. I mean, we'd of never seen the awesomeness of the Dark Knight, if Batman had stopped at the weird and campy tv series.

I love Transformers, I have since the 80s, but us long time fans have to put aside the nostalgia factor and thinking everything was just more awesome back then (and they were), and realize what Transformers has always been... a toy line. The animated series, the movies... just really in the end, exspensive and long commercials. And really, we can't complain when in addition to Prime, HUB also airs the classic G1 series. The only thing we could ask more is for Beast Wars.

In the end, as long as there are toys, I'll buy. As long as theres a series, I'll watch. And if theres a movie, I'll go to the midnight showings AND midnight DVD releases.
