Why?

Well, we all knew there'd be new characters coming in Transformers: PRIME, but given the figures on the release line-up did any of us think it'd be this guy?

Given that a Smokescreen repaint was announced some time ago, I'd say probably.

Name says Smokescreen, color scheme says Prowl. Mostly. Personality... Hot Rod.

nice!! i have been looking forward to a new ABot to hit the screen.
should keep things interesting, hopefully his toy will be available in the US and
not an exclusive ala Breakdown or Unicron.

Maybe the character's Bluestreak/Silverstreak - or whatever what he's going by.

While the IGN clip is called "Smokescreen in Action," it's notable that no one in the clip refers to him as such - they don't even know him. And without confirmation by the show runners, he could still be called something else. However, based on the evidence shown so far, I will concede that the character is very likely going to be named Smokescreen.

This show needs far more new Transformers like Smokescreen and far less creepy "boyfriend/girlfriend" dynamic between the dumb kids and their partners...ahem...in my opinion of course.

The Hub and Transformers facebook pages have posted a teaser images from tonight's all new episode of Transformers Prime "New Recruit" featuring Smokescreen. Be sure to tune into the Hub this evening at 7:00 PM ET.
