This ranks up there as one of the weirdest things I have seen on transformers.

Can we all agree that Tf Prime has been one hell of a ride? Starscream shined in last episode, making fun of Optimus's voice etc. And now this!
I'm loving the show. Glad the humans are on the sidelines at the moment.

With the exception of Darkness Rising, I hope... Cliffjumper killed, zombies robots arise...

Cliff's death was a surprising and interesting way to begin the show. After that, the first season dragged it's ass. >:oP

not to mention "unwanted".

I mean, who here really wanted them to kill off (within the first five minutes, even) the first G1-homaged Cliffjumper we had in years that was his own body type instead of another Bumblebee redeco/remold, and also happened to be voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (in a show where big names like Ernie Hudson and Tony Todd are series regulars)?

I would've been fine with his eventual death, just not so early in the game. If his voice actor was too expensive, you could have used Billy Brown instead. Not like they had a problem doing that.

Then again, his death at the very beginning set the tone for the entire series. Nobody is safe from death, they said (although they proved their wussies by letting Bulkhead survive, let-alone quickly heal).

A tone I still dispise to this day. Being dark for sheer sake of being dark doesn't make anything great. It makes it dreary.

Yea, but its not being dark, it's being more realistic given the premise. A war between 2 factions NEEDS to have deaths to allow the story to hold some weight. Sure, they could have killed him off later, and even killed off others (as long as there ARE deaths), but atleast it had some intensity right at the start. The initial death was, as mentioned, proof that anything could happen.

They should have killed Bulkhead when they had the chance. That was proof they're wusses about killing main characters. >:oP

I think they are slowying phasing out the children in these episodes they have been seen or used very little or hardly at all in season 2.

Jack with his issues, and Raf being relocated to a new location mainly from the battle with Silas/Breakdown.

Starscream is better in this version of Transformers than in any previous Transformers he has really steped up his game from his previous versions.

But to me Prime seems to be focusing more on the Bots less on the humans and will eventially phase them out altogether.

Beast Hunters to me could either be off worlds other than earth or on Earth unknown no details are known on Hunters other than Possible Dinobots.

More of Cybertron in Action more than a glimpse a friggin battle on Cybertron this will be awesome.

The question remains how diffrent will the Omega Lock be from the Cybertron Version I say it will be a complete 180 everything has a new look and a new use only the namesakes are the same even the Starsaber is diffrent from the Armada Starsaber.

I love this it uses things from the past but they are nothing like the past also new ideas such as Beast Hunters, Iacon Relics and the various colors of Energon. I wonder if there will be Orange Energon.

Being G1 since day 1 since 1984 this is by far the best I cant wait to see Season 2 close out and how it connects to S3 Beast Hunters.

I am already getting S2 to go with S1 on my DVDs but S2 dosent hit until November watch it in 1080p uninterupted no commercials.

Looking forward to Patch to see how Starsceam schemes and plots he is just biding his time to hatch his scheme only using Megatron for his resources. Dreadwing will be the wildcard about what he will do.

I also see no kids in the newer episode other than when they leave for Cybertron possible to say good bye to them.

Bring it on I cant wait Prime rules and make the Bayformers look like a weak chicken in comparison.

It is bad that a 22 minute cartoon can do more than a big budget Movie couldnt do.

But Josh & Tania (VAs for Jack and Miko) said they were recording for Season 3. New characters? Or perhaps the humans will hang with a few bots on Earth while the rest are off world.

This is kinda what gets me too ... I'm really curious what's going on with the kids and what this all means for their future going into BH.

and that's why the show was failing so much as escapist fiction. It doesn't need to be so super realistic that it alienates those who enjoy the fiction as means get away from harshness of reality. >:oP

Thing is, the beginning needn't be so startling to be good. A humble beginning can go a long long way, whereas this show's beginning was anything but.

Same characters. Tania described her current portrayal of Miko (current for her, as in by how far she's gotten in the episode recording sessions) as being so different and serious compared to how she was originally.

Failing is subjective, for starters, and its hard to say its a failing when the show is still on air pretty much 3 seasons in... It only alienates those who don't like it, and as far as i'm concerned, my harsh reality is boring work, and violent video games, movies, and a bit of the violent toons are a great escape...

Sabrblade wrote:Thing is, the beginning needn't be so startling to be good. A humble beginning can go a long long way, whereas this show's beginning was anything but.

I consider a death to set the mood quite well for a war that has been raging on for too long. Obi Wan dying set the mood pretty well for the rest of the movie, are you going to tell me episode IV wasn't a humble beginning? ;) And I know its a movie compared to a show, but they both are aiming at young and mature audiences. Perhaps that isn't the best example since his death wasn't so graphic, but well, it was clearly meant to appeal to fans that wanted to see something new.. and I haven't seen a death of an Autobot that brutal before.
