Either that or the Omega Key. Or both. Or maybe even all the relics.

Unless they call it the Dark Saber, which the Vorpal Saber originally was until it was made clear that the Dark Saber was merely a corrupted Star Saber, thus necessitating the "other" Dark Saber to get renamed.
Or, it could simply be a "Dark Energon Sword".

WAIT!! is it me or does Megatron find a tomb of a dead/fallen prime, and take a part and now he can use the Hammer relic and creates this sword using the hammer?
When Megs is using the hammer his left arm looks like the wrong color, blue and yellow and looks like it has a slightly different shape??? Maybe he found a arm/sleeve weapon like Lin-o from Thunder Cats!! ~Just a thought!!

looks more red to me.

That's the reason he has his new arm! It must be that of a Prime's, so that he can wield weapons on a Prime can...well...wield.

Would explain why Alpha Trion sent Prime a signal. Not sure if he's a Prime, but I know he's one of the Original Thirteen.

The Thirteen were all Primes.

Then it's Alpha Trion's arm.

What about Zeta's arm? Last we heard, Zeta was dead while A3 still lived.
Sure, this arm looks a bit different, but Hasbro (sadly) doen't care about aesthetics in this continuity.

Yeah, the Vault book further explained this, saying that the "Sentinel" part was his rank and that "Zeta" was his name. Referring to him as "Sentinel" would be like when one would refer to Optimus as "Commander".
Archanubis wrote:Though I wonder how an *arm* from a expired Prime will allow Megatron to wield the Forge. Unless he's got some other trick up his sleeve...
Very good question. I'd think that one would stop being a Prime after being dead or succeeded by another, since there could only be one Prime at a time following the era of the Thirteen.

But...but Zeta is blue.
That arm looks magenta (or purple) to me, so I think it would suit an Alpha Trion color scheme...even though...uhm...
And while Alpha Trion stayed on Cybertron before Optimus Prime and his team left, Optimus did not know Alpha Trion's fate. Neither did Smokescreen. Who's to say Alpha Trion was killed after such events?

Someone else here mentioned it look blue to them. Though, the lighting in this trailer is so bad I'd be willing to concede to it being either color, red or blue.

I believe it's Primas arm, it looks very similar to the Prima design shown in the Vault.
That would be quite a twist.

At the end of the clip, when Megatron and Prime are rushing towards each other you can see a better shot of it ... I'm seeing lots of red with gold highlights. And a while back Ratchet had made a comment about "Not even Megatron would do that", when talking about him possibly being the one who stole Bee's T-Cog ... Well it seems that fear and "desperate times" truly do call for desperate measures, and after the fear we saw Megatron have in the last episode ... No wonder!
