I'm not holding my breath.

All that information they acquired over time with careful study.

I don't know why people hope and hope for characters to come back after they die. The writers said themselves, a thousand times, that they aren't going to bring back a character after their dead. If they're dead, tough luck; keep crying.

Sure, I'm sad Breakdown's dead. Sure I'd give anything for Breakdown to come back, but it's not going to happen. It's the unfortunate truth.

 :-(

I'd prefer more Autobots dead. Enough handing the good guys all the breaks.

I curse the day they let Bulkhead survive (after that long break) and recover so quickly. Stupid writers. :-x

I have one question to ask: will he be able to transform or is he stuck in robot ?

Maybe. They used Starscream's T-cog for Nemesis Prime, so they might have left Breakdown's alone.

This isn't the first time a character voiced by Clancy Brown has fused with a living machine (for a given definition of "living" in this case).
Wonder what he is after this time? What knowledge do humans posses that interests soundwave enough to go get it? Surely its not another space bridge guidance system attempt. Maybe humans have found relics and have them stored in their own version of "sector 7".
I would imagine Megatron sent him to loot the data on how the humans (MECH) accomplished the feat of fusion between a Terran and a Cybertronian. What I wonder is how the mad doctor will react to all this. Will Knockout be enraged by what happened to his partner/friend or will he be more curious about the science behind what has transpired...?
:-?

as for what soundwave is looking for, well megatron has a hammer that can make any weapon, but only a prime can use it. silas made him self a neato copy of a certain prime that is missing that annoying concept of free will, and the millitary has it tucked away somewhere. the wise tyrant would want to get his hands on that methinks.

I'd like to see more deaths in this show, starting with Miko. She is annoying as can be and serves no purpose to the show. But, I would like to see more characters added, even if it means replacing old ones. I'm tired of watching Megatron's army be comprised of identical drones. I want to see Prime versions of old characters not a hundred vehicons or insecticons.

"What would Megatron want that Silas has?"

"What could Soundwave be hacking into?"

Two words, guys: "Project Damocles". ;)

This is true. In one of the trailers for this episode you see lasers being fired at autobots from directly above them.

It was first mentioned in "Grill" when we found out Silas' real name which was Leland Bishop and that he use to be a Colonel of the US special tactics branch. You see back when Silas was in the military he was the creator of Project Damocles which was meant to create a network of satellites in orbit around Earth, which would be able to target any location on the planet with lasers. The project was mothballed and the reason Silas was discharged.

Well gee, not everyone here knows what Project Damocles is. It wouldn't hurt to explain it to him. Telling him to google it is just rude.

So I am not understanding the marketing strategy here,

how are you expecting to sell toys when you kill off the character?

okay- maybe in the takara-verse, kids want all these one shot characters, but why should I want a skyquake, nemesis prime, or Sylas after these episodes. maybe if I want to reenact episodes---Damn, still missing 98 vehicons.........

is this the show up and blow up Pheonomonon?

You know, this is why I think Simon Furman used to 'create' bots and cons for the british comic-- so you could kill them off without endangering the toy marketing? Sorry Simon, no offence meant, but look at Fang(target 2006), Chameleon and Seizer (city of fear?).

But if he (and Bob Budiansky, for that matter) hadn't, we wouldn't have later gotten the awesome that is Squadron X. ;)

Haha I was just messing with him (No offense Hellstriker). But I had to google it to find out what it was.

If you havn't watched the episode yet don't read the spoiler text below!

Was I the only one that was disappointed the thing between Megs and Silas didn't work out? I thought it was gonna be cool. But they will dissect him unless he escapes. If he doesn't escape maybe this is how the beast hunters thing comes about. Similar to the thing Megs did in Beast Wars by controlling the velociraptors with transformers technology and upgrading them.

No, you really didn't. It was explained in the episode (and in Grill).

Or you could have asked one of us (like that other fellow did). We would've told you. :-)

Not really. I was hoping to have Cylas as a new Decepticon. Oh well. We're back to Megatron, Knock Out, Soundwave, Dreadwing, and company.

Not really. After all, this Megatron is FAR less tolerant of failure than his previous incarnations, and his reaction to Silas being fused to Breakdown was bordering on disgust. And, as Megatron pointed out, Silas only brought Project: Damocles with him as "the best he had to offer." Had Silas brought the resources of MECH, the story might have been different.

Where was Dreadwing, anyway? For Megatron's new second-in-command, he's been rather... inactive.

We haven't really seen Dreadwing since Hurt (and even then he didn't speak at all). He is rather inactive for a first lieutenant.
