Oh dear, here we go again.
starscream1974 wrote::KREMZEEK: I've obvsiously touched on some emotions here. To bad most of you do not understand the true lore of Transformers.
Or, wait, you're serious? True lore? Dude, EVERYTHING from 1984-Present is true lore in some form. G1 is only one fraction of it all.
starscream1974 wrote:Yes it all stems from G1 people and yes the original is far superior to perhaps the lore you follow.....do your homework.
Again, I laugh.
G1 may have come first, but "first" =/= "best". Several other series have far surpassed G1 in so many ways. Writing, consistency, character development, editing, animation, directing, voice acting, scripting, drama, action, comedy, gravitas, and so much more. Granted not EVERY series after G1 is better than G1 (some are indeed inferior), but there are still a few that have vastly surpassed G1 in several certain regards. The G1 cartoon in particular is at best an average TF cartoon.
starscream1974 wrote:It's not about living in the past...
Sure strongly feels like it.
starscream1974 wrote:its about imagination and creative thinking.
And there's plenty of that in several post-G1 series.
starscream1974 wrote:Unfortunatley Hollywood has ran out of ideas and most shows are directed towards 2 year olds.
1. Hollywood has nothing to do with Transformers: Prime. Hasbro Studios makes this show.
2. If you seriously think this show is geared towards 2 year olds, then you must think the same of Lord of the Rings and The Dark Knight.
starscream1974 wrote:I get that individuals want to be just that and break off from the old....BUT IF ITS NOT BROKEN ...DON'T TRY AND FIX IT...
Sure, because "imagination and creative thinking" must certain equate to "repetition of old ideas without any innovation or development".</sarcasm>
This just screams "GEEWUN", right here.
starscream1974 wrote:You don't see the Cylon rip off there? COME ON in robot form?? Time to check your eye site, perhaps the Raider should have been left out.....
You didn't say which mode. Since the cyclon Raider was a ship, the Vehicle Mode was logically what first came to mind.
And, frankly, the Cylon Raider itself looks inspired by a lot of other designs from other sci-fi series, so you shouldn't be talking.
starscream1974 wrote:here's the deal THE MATRIX is the Autobots Holy Grail and yes it has been a weapon that went nuclear did you not see it blow up Unicron LOL Hilarious.......
I said "unless there's a supernatural force of pure evil", which Unicron counts as. The Matrix is only used to destroy things of pure evil and chaos, not natural lower level evils (like Megatron).
starscream1974 wrote:Do me a favor younglings.....watch G1 from start to finish then wrap up with the Animated Movie....
The 1986 movie takes place between seasons 2 and 3. Or are you saying to not watch seasons 3 and 4? If so, then, hate to break it you ya, but the G1 cartoon ends well after the movie. If you say to watch from "start to finish" but then say to stop at the movie, then you're being very hypocritical and no one will take you seriously.
starscream1974 wrote:yes been collecting since 1984...
And? So have several others here who also like later stuff. Doesn't matter in the long run.
starscream1974 wrote:yes have all MP's Fansproject..Igear....Perfect Effect......classics.....blah blah...
So, you collect stuff from later lines while also speaking out against later lines. I'm thinking of a word that rhymes with "shmipocrisy".
starscream1974 wrote:its not about that although you with make it out to be.
When has anyone here brought up the toys in this conversation?
starscream1974 wrote:It's the lore where it originated from which has held up for X amount of years....
Speaking of hypocrisy, you've been saying how the original is what we should focus on, yet you say to watch the G1 cartoon? News flash, the G1 cartoon did NOT come first. The G1 Marvel Comics did. You speak of being a G1-originalist yet focus on the cartoon, when the comic preceded the cartoon by several months. By your logic, the comic's coming first automatically makes it superior to the cartoon. Plain and simple.
starscream1974 wrote:truthfully speaking their is a big diffrence between collectors and fans I get that....for me DOTM figures are not my taste nor are many others.
Then why bring up the toys in the first place if you've openly admitted that that's not an issue here?
starscream1974 wrote:But I get it...always have always will...does Hollywood and numerous JOKE of cartoon series..nope...you know why...BECUSE THEY DIDN'T DO THEIR HOMEWORK........so do me a favor and do yours
Do your own homework. Again, Hollywood has nothing to do with this. Hasbro Studios makes Prime.
starscream1974 wrote:I am happy to know that you support the cause Private's and by all means enjoy TF Prime...I know I do, but it could be soooo much better.
First true thing you've said thus far. Prime can indeed be so much better, but not for the reasons you've given.
starscream1974 wrote:High Moon Studios did their homework to an extent and look they brought in tons of fans....was it the best game...no...did it have potential..YES....could they build of it....they were given a second chance.....but we all deserve second chances. so don't be a
and study some History.
Take your own advice and you'd see that not only are War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron NOT based in G1, but are also in direct conflict with the G1 cartoon, ignoring and outright defying several key aspects of it, such as how Orion Pax became Optimus Prime, how the Dinobots were created, how Trypticon was created, and so much more.
starscream1974 wrote: Blowing bubbles man?......your blowing smoke, wouldn't that be the obvious?
You're only making yourself look worse, man.
starscream1974 wrote:Look to me G1 speaks of what started it all season 1,2 the movie ect ect until ALL OR ONE!!!
Seasons 3 and 4 came after the movie. Don't ignore them or you're contradicting yourself.
starscream1974 wrote:Brudda right up til the Headmaster stuff.
You do realize that there was still more after The rebirth, right? Like, Optimus Prime being a Powermaster in the "best of" fifth season, in which he told stories of their history to Tommy Kennedy.
starscream1974 wrote:I'm just saying for anyone who knows about the lore......THE MATRIX TURNS THE TIDE in the Autobots favor being heavily out gunned and out manned...........who houses the Matrix.....Optimus, hence not even Megatron dare square off with Prime alone......they have strayed from that getting away from the LORE again which is what held all of us 80's kids to their seats..........
And yet, Optimus Prime never once used the Matrix to win battles against the Decepticons in the G1 cartoon. Nor did Rodimus Prime. They only ever used the Matrix twice in the cartoon, and both were against greater forces of chaos than the Decepticons ever were. If the Matrix was this big superweapon that could swiftly end the war, why didn't Optimus use it in G1? Because THAT'S NOT HOW THE MATRIX IS USED.
starscream1974 wrote:Love the banter, look as time passes the lore / history gets forgotten from generation to generation....
You really must have NO idea what you're talking about since the very foundation of not just TF: Prime but the whole Aligned continuity consists of elements taken directly from the past 25+ years of TF history. HISTORY is the very thing that makes the world of TF: Prime be what it is. Take your own advice and go do your own research.
starscream1974 wrote:hence you my Cybertronian buddy ol pal.
love the bubble gum comment.....let's see maybe you should get outside and do some fishing or hit the gym .....ohhh and by the way not all Transformer fans are DORKS........
Yet you seem to be insinuating that njb902 is with those smart remarks of yours.
starscream1974 wrote:but I am a Geek always have been always will be...........BUT I gaurantee you would not say that in my presense. Take care brudda......
Anyone who's into TF is a geek. That goes without saying.
