Once again TFND.net comes through with new a Transformers Prime toy image. This image of Voyager Class Dreadwing appears to come to us from the same product catalog that yielded our first looks at Airachnid, Deadend, and Ultra Magnus.

We got our first glimpse of this mold at last year's SDCC, though at the time it was labeled Skyquake. We recently learned that Skyquake had been dropped in lieu of his twin brother Dreadwing for Transformers Prime Voyager Series 3. Check him out in full color below.

Not a fan of the inaccurate gun, and that dinky sword which both him and his brother don't have even though the toys do, but he does look really good, looking forward to more pics. Image

Looks good.

Guess I'll be going to 3rd party stuff for proper weaponry though.

Dreadwing looks great. I will be getting the Hasbro and Takara versions. :CON:
I am not sure about this Bulkhead though...

DO WANT. This is easily the best looking Prime voyager so far. It's a shame he doesn't have an accurate looking gun though.

Looks pretty good, except for that mechtech. Hopefully it's released as Skyquake eventually, since they even made a Shadow Bumblebee and Dead End from Wheeljack.

BTW, this is Voyager Wave 3? What was Wave 2? Am I missing something here? :???:

WOW... such fail. I have thrown literally thousands of dollars of Transformer toys over the last couple years. I am sad to say I think it has come to an end. Not because my love of everything transformers has lessened mind you... no sadly it is because Hasbro literally sucks. They got me all amped up when i saw reviews of the First Edition figures for the prime line... so like alot of others i sat patiently waiting state side for the release of these epic figures. Only to discover that not only was i not going to see a FE Optimus and Bulkhead... but that i would see the shelves stocked with completely inferior cheezy options instead. No Hasbro i do not want your toys with clear plastic forearms and gimmicks. i too am from the camp that believes a toy that can change from a vehicle to a robot and back again is gimmick enough. Seriously these figures you released here look like they suffer from some sort of cybertronian cancer growth... take a good look at those vehicles..... your kidding right? Robots in disguise?? im sorry but if i saw a vehicle coming at me with that type of ?weapon?.. i am usually not one for a loss of words but i have nothing even coming to my mind that would describe that abomination. Your effort in the FE reveals that you are looking to cash in on the gimmickry here with this RID line... and i for one am not game. my money is Transforming and rolling out.. :HEADHURTS:

Series two adds Starscream and Bulkhead. Series three adds Dreadwing.

You don't actually HAVE to use the big doofy guns.
I don't plan to.

And yes, that version of Bulkhead looks like a cheap KO compared to the FE.

I'll hold out for Skyquake. I like that he has a sword. Melee weaponry is coming back with a vengeance lately in TFs.

Blech, Mechtech. :p But at least the mold is still the same. :) Even though I wanted Skyquake more I'll get this guy in case it doesn't happen.

Wow serious dude? I mean I get the whole FE/RiD thing like how RiD Bulkhead and RiD Prime looks like a knock-off compare to their FE counterpart but I fail to see how the hell Voyager Dreadwing is a fail. Just cause they fail to make some toy that you like doesnt mean that they suck. The TF fan community consist of more than a million people and EACH ONE of them are different. Do you really expect ONE company to satisfy all your needs? If you want transformers your way then create them yourself. You should thank Hasbro that they still continue making TFs even though they know there are some people like you out there.

Secondly... "I'm sorry but if i saw a vehicle coming at me with that type of weapons?" You do know that those weapons are able to DETACH right? You dont have to keep them if you hate them. Throw em away if you want to. It wont affect the main figure at all. Next time try to give a valid point kay?

Lastly...You do know that those weapons dont really affect the main figure right? That means even if they give RiD Bulkhead smaller and normal looking weapons the main figure wont suddenly turn into an awesome figure like some sort of magic. Again...Try to give a valid point next time.

On topic...That Dreadwing looks awesome. I cant wait to get him when it's released :D.

Mwah, I'll be sitting out most of the line, only getting those that catch my fancy. Skyquake Dreadwing is a maybe, but I'll have to see him in person.

Trivia: apparently in Chinese, Starscream's name translates to "Star of the Sky King" aka Uranus. Inset inappropriate jokes pertaining to ones rear end about the line here.

At least I know that I'm not alone in hating these terrible weapons. The only one I actually like, so far, is Megatron's, if only because it somewhat looks like his show-accurate weapon.

But, seriously, Bulkhead, when your weapon is bigger than your alt-mode...you may have issues.

i suppose i need to quantify my point... i (emphasis on "i") feel that the the RiD line is inferior to the FE line and i do not want to buy a transformer that is not as cool as the one i want. Hasbro left me no choice unless i pay a premium on ebay. so... yeah.... i do think they suck. kay? lol

I'm seeing all these comments on how Dreadwings weapon looks inaccurate. But it looks to me that if it were to be painted black and silver it would be very accurate. Maybe more than Megatrons.

so far i think the commander class looks better but since voyagers are still normal price and size id be more inclined to get this one. I think thats hasbro strategy now if a class doesnt sell well jack the prices up on the other classes then if that doesnt work make them smaller, people will probably buy the class in question now because they are the better deal. It seems to be that way in my area, the shelves are full of deluxes & commanders but voyagers are hard to come by.

Well so far...adequate. RID bee, arcee, cliff, and bulkhead all look inferior to the FEs. Cliff and bulkhead I can live with but bee and arcee are just kind of sad and gimmicky. Prime and megatron look fine, in fact most of the voyagers do especially dread wing. The one figure that I'm really syked for is hotshot. I don't no why but he looks great, and wears the mold much better than bee. One thing that worries me though is voyager starscream. He looks accurate, but with the pictures he looks much bigger than bulkhead which could be a problem for me. The figure really needs to be deluxe size.

Looks amazing, and the weapons look decent. The sword is nice (although never in the show), and the gun... looks like it "may" be able to be held as a chaingun, and looks molded well at least. I think that some silver paint and removing the Mech Tach mechanism would remedy this a bit. Although, a 3rd party is bound to release a new one.
