It's a shame comics don't hold my interest for very long, but when this series is done I'll likely pick up the compilation book.

As an aside, is Grimlock in his Action Master body, or did they just go for a character model with magically disappearing kibble?

He has his Action master body. That's what the original finished with, so it's picked up.

I'm really looking forward to this. It's the first comics story since War Within that's actually very interesting. Also, great art! LOVE IT! Some of the other artists at IDW can take some cues...

I guess Ratbat didn't get killed by Scorponok after all...and Ratchet! That poor bot... Good to see Megatron not being doofus, but a ruthless tyrant just as he was meant to be.

I'll hold off on deciding whether or not he's a doofus when we see how competent his undead minions are. :P I'm going to bet not very.

This is shaping up nicely. Plot's picking up and building (props to Simon). Great cast of characters. Great coloring. Great retro art. Loving just about every aspect of this comic. Bravo. Wildman has maintained some of his unique style, but evolved it a bit for the modern era. Gracefully done. And I always loved Geoff Senior as well. Great to see him having a regular role in this project. Nice dream team.

That's the point. They're mindless slaves. (For now, it seems.) They do as he tells them. And he did it to all of them. The only other bots with competent consciousness are Screamer and it seems Ratchet, even if he's fused with that vehicle Megatron uses instead of an actual body. I am really curious how Ratchet will progress. Hopefully he'll get a measure of revenge for everything Megatron has put him through ever since the beginning.

It's a shame Andrew decided to use the terrible art style he used on the original Marvel stuff. This might be tollerable if the art was actually good.

DINOBOT MONTH begins today with the release of TRANSFORMERS: REGENERATION ONE #82—the second issue of Hasbro and IDW Publishing’s continuation of the original 1980s TRANSFORMERS comic book series! Picking up where they left off, the creative team of that series—Simon Furman, Andrew Wildman, and Stephen Baskerville—continue the Transformers story that started it all! After reading Transformers Regeneration one All I have to say is:

Did nobody not like transformers Generation two even the artists? there are some G2 figures in it. I hope megs dons his G2 tank mode as it suits him far better than the gun mode evere did.

Also will the comic cover some of the UK material as many of the wreckers are dead/deactivated by Galvatron I when he killed half of them during Time-wars.

I think Optimus prime will die at the end of this comic to be replaced by Hotrod/Rodimus Prime. Then Galvatron II will return.

Sad to say that all of the UK G1 material can no longer be considered canon. Simon explained that RG:1 is a continuation of the US comic and they can't assume any knowledhge of the UK stories. So great stories like Timewars, Target:2006 and Legacy of Unicron have ceased to exist. That's why the wreckers are alive and well. Same goes for all of G2, although Simon has stated that popular characters exclusive to UK/G2 will appear. They just might be less dead than we thought.

OK I really do hope that the transformers who were killed off by Unicron or who died in other stories stay dead though. No more reactivated non-headmaster autobots. Brainstorms death was truly epic & scorponoks.

I would like to see more of the remaining nebulan figures and what happened to them will Kup have his nebulan partner back or not?

Did anyone notice the shadow of Thunderwing in the background with Bludgeon after he comms Soundwave.

Also just picked up the second issue and I must say very good, looks like Mindwipe has been to Nebulos and done his thing with the locals.
