Artist Andrew Griffith has revealed his cover for IDW's Transformers: Robots in Disguise Ongoing #14 via his deviantART page. Check out the cover we've mirrored below, as you can see if features a rather odd couple.

Hmmm... what's going on here...?

The only thing I'm confused about here is Megatron's appearance.

Does he get rebuilt into his former self?

I am assuming this is his cybertronian mode like the one's being adopted by all the other chacracters. The gun barrel on his back looks a little more a tank cannon barrel and he has missiles on the front of his shoulders. Interesting that they haven't used a WFC/FOC design like tht other characters who have one. Purely speculation of course.

You can also see his treads so it would appear (speculating) that he is going back to his tank mode. Makes sense since his last body got pretty well hammered on and there wasn't much left to rebuild. I prefer this look over his last one anyways.

It does look very similar to his Megatron: Origin body, I'll give you that.

On the cover of issue 15 he is back to his stealth bomber mode so this must be a flash back pic. I wonder what dealings Prowl had with Megs before they came to Earth.

The artwork looks awesome, can't wait to get this comic in hand to read it of course

It looks to me more like an cool-ified version of War Within body, rather than his pre-earth tank form. If that's the case, it could well be in the present. If it is a flashback issue though...

Prowl is a scary guy.

But my other thought is that Prowl didn't really seem like himself in issue 13. So I wonder if he didn't die in the explosion that "killed" Shock and Soundwave. Maybe the 'cons replaced him with a clone? Could explain the "upgrade".

I don't know. This is all fan-speculation, but something just seemed off to me regarding Prowl in 13.

its looks like they finally dumped that god awfull stealth bomber mode.

TBH im kinda surprised they didnt go with the fall of cybertron design. not that i like it (im not mad on it ) BUT theyve been slowing rolling them out for alot of the other characters in the book for good or ill over the last 12 issues. (ok i know its a personal taste thing but i cant see how ANYONE could prefer the new design for laserbeak shown in issues 13s final two page spread over his original design).

the design in this looks like a combo of his earth one and his megatron origin one which suits me.

as an aside cant wait for the issue. its all gonna come to a head in this one.
