It's really kind of hard to compare the two comic books because they really are kind of different. MTMTE is really a lot like a sci fi show. Lots of humor, space adventuring, monsters, viruses, etc.
While RiD is a very political view of life on Cybertron after the war and seeing what becomes of the race at this time. Political intrigue, assassinations, big brother/government watchdog (Prowl)...it's just really apple and oranges comparing the two. I tend to gravitate towards MTMTE more, but just because that's more my thing. It has a Star Trek/Lost in Space adventure vibe to it. Since you are this late reading these, I would definitely recommend buying the TPB of MTMTE next month and RiD the month after.

I think I posted it before, but Griffith has joined the ranks of EJ Su and Don Figueroa as one of my favorite TF artists of all time. Also, the books have never been this good before, both in the story and art. TF fans who don't read the comics are really missing out on the best TF fiction out there!
