Yes, you can download things on the DS...just not this advanced. The code for the DLC is WAAAY more advanced than the sprite & move set for Celebi.

Yes they are very different, but that would be why they would release like a texture or one character, or a map at most.

And the reason why is who would pay good money for a primitive DLC for a port of a game whose sales paled in comparison to the superior consoles. Sorry bro. But you should invest in an XBOX or something unless you're planning on playing Half-Life.

Also, you never actually download any of the event items in Pokemon. The data is already there, even the code to unlock it isn't downloaded.

Not all DLC. I know the Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 DLC all have to be installed, the data isn't in the game by default. The Borderlands DLC packs are the same way too, I think.
