Transformers ROTF ending and bridge to DOT- how it should have happened.

So as a hardcore fan, I believe I can safely say for all of us that ROTF was definitely the worse of the three Bay films, so here is essentially how it should have ended making DOTM even more awesome.

What I would have liked to see is, as he is fleeing with starscream, Megatron was chased after, and stopped by Optimus Prime. They would have had an epic deal using swords, cannons and all that great stuff, and Megatron would die. For good this time. Starscream would then take over and be crowned, (again if you read some of the movie comics) and then I think that should have closed the movie, especially if it had a close-up of his face.

Then, after causing some havoc and resurrecting Shockwave, Shockwave would kill him and become commander. I think this would definitely have been a better version of the films, and one I would actually be excited about.

What do you think??? :APPLAUSE: ???

That's right, DotM was probably my least favorite. The human stuff stole focus too often, usually involving Carly. With the other 2 movies the relationship stuff only came up when nothing else was going on. In DotM Sam would be trying to figure out what the Decepticons were up to and she'd butt in and suddenly everything shifted to their relationship. The whole part in Chicago was about Sam trying to rescue her, then stopping the bad guys.

Though DOTM was my favorite, I have to agree. If not for that freeway chase, those Laserbeak assassinations, the awesome Decepticon invasion scene, and Optimus's badassery in the last 10 minutes of the movie, DOTM probably would have come in much lower for me. Even with those awesome scenes, I thought it was only slightly better than ROTF. The first movie still doesn't feel like Transformers...at all.

Ending with Megs dying and Starscream escaping (and presumably leading the Cons) is the same way the first movie ended...

If you ask me, I think ROTF and DOTM's stories should have been reversed in order of the trilogy. It would make more sense for The Fallen to be the trilogy's end villain and have Sentinel's death be the reason Megatron has to rely on The Fallen. That would have connected the Decepticon's plans together more tightly IMO.

Personally, I like DOTM more than ROTF, but not for the obvious reasons. In DOTM, the TF's interact a lot more with one another than with humans, unlike in ROTF or TF1. That gives it a very Transformers feel, if that makes any sense at all.

Most of all, DOTM didn't involve Sam and the military in resolving the problem nearly as much as the earlier two movies. This time, the Autobots had to save the day by their own efforts--no almighty bombing raid, no goofy kid on a journey to find the Matrix.

As for the endings, I think they should have omitted the clutter of villains and focused on just one at a time. Starscream, Shockwave, Megatron, Sentinel and The Fallen...so many antagonists with so much potential, if only they took the time to flesh them out.

IMO, Shockwave was massively wasted potential. He should have risen up as DOTM's main villain.

The animated movie was the only one that wasn't a childhood-raping abomination.
I do not blame Michael Bay for crapping all over a huge part of my childhood. He just directed the scripts that were given to him. I blame Orci, Kurtzman, and Krueger, who seem completely incapable of concocting a story that even halfway makes sense.

Tell that to all the kids that watched their favorite characters get brutally killed in the animated movie. That did far more damage to anyone's childhood than Optimus being long nose semi or Ironhide not being red.

I'm going to have to remember this next time someone says "Bay (or really anything not G1) raped my childhood".

Are you sure? As far as I'm concerned, that was the only TF movie that could have possibly raped anyone's childhood. It took the beloved characters that you know, loved, and built a connection to and slaughtered them in front of your face. Helpless, you watch while there is nothing you can do, as your friends are being killed right in front of you. Whereas these live action movies are nothing more than a reimagination of a franchise.

Your argument is invalid.

Dear god, am I the only person who didn't cry because of that movie? What a bunch of girly men... that movie was awesome BECAUSE it killed off so many characters. The show had been suffering from nobody-is-ever-allowed-to-die syndrome for two years (odd, considering that the two factions are AT WAR) and it was time to see the brakes taken off.

Did any of us get emotionally invested in the live-action movies to the point of caring who lived or died? Did we even remember the names of the deceased, or at least the ones who didn't get brought back to life 30 minutes later? No, we were supposed to be more concerned about Sam's girl troubles
