The Regeneration One maxiseries is an alternate sequel to the classic G1 Marvel comics. I think it's the closest thing right now.

The story is set during the previous IDW ongoing, following from the events of All Hail Megatron, International Incident and before Revenge of the Decepticons. But apparently, it also fits in with current ongoing, Robots in Disguise.

I agree. And I agree with Blurrz' comment on it being as much Starscream's story as it is Megatron's.
Interested to see how it'll tie in with the next issue of Robots in Disguise, actually.

According to Nick Roche, Spotlight: Megatron will see a second print run, due out in April. The reprint will feature an altered cover.

The cover we saw from the Toy Fair has already been revealed, and it's the one with artwork by Clayton Crain. This seems to be another, as far as we know.

A couple of days ago we mentioned that Nick Roche had tweeted about an altered cover for the second print-run of Spotlight: Megatron.

Nick has now confirmed that the cover for the reprint will not be entirely new, just a minorly edited version of the one's we've already seen.

He also posted a rough sketch of his original cover to celebrate the second print!

In occasion of the second printing of IDW Transformers Spotlight: Megatron, fan-crush artist Nick Roche has revealed the new cover (same as the first print, but with more purple) and his pencilwork for the first six pages of the issue, all mirrored below.
