It's a great cover. Shame I probably won't be able to get it.

While I do really like Megatron's design, I don't like it as a Megatron design.

In my case, I can't access it. I have no smart phone, tablet or adaptor on my electronic devices, and I prefer not to read things on screen, if I can.

So nothing wrong with it, I just prefer print.

(A lot of writers and artists actually do, though! Duncan Fegredo, Mike Carey, Jock, among others, have all told me how they love the possibilities of digital creation, production and distribution. The industry, however, did take a while to realise that digital is a viable solution, rather than the end of the comicsverse.)

I read the brief El Duque included with this image, but I'm a little confused as to when this story takes place. I don't know why but I thought this was going to take place many, many years in the past. But then Megatron's got his more recent body. Can anyone shed more light on this, please? Which comics does this Spotlight fall between?

I believe it takes place during somewhere after Heart Like a Wheel (#13) from the IDW The Transformers series.
