I'm not sure this is the right forum for this, but is anyone else planning to jump-ship this summer and divert your hobby funds to Hasbro's other flagship brand G.I. Joe?
I'm nowhere near as big a fan of G.I. Joe as I am Transformers, but after seeing the preview pictures of the new 3 3/4 25th Anniversary line I'll be damned if I'm going to be buying toys of unrecognizable characters based on their likenesses from a film I've lost interest in when I can be spending my money on comic-accurate representations of the COBRA elite with Marvel Legends detail and Microman 200x articulation.
Anyone else share the sentiment?

Im disapointed with what ive seen of the movie. But I dont think im ready to jump ship yet. Admitedly there isnt anything im as intrested in, so it'd be hard for me to jump ship anyway.

As will I. I have been waiting for some good G.I. Joe stuff, I am not a fan of the Sigma 6 crap they have been releasing.

I had no idea that they were redoing this scale again. Must be learning from the TF Classic line.

Same here.. They look fantastic.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
No, I am not friendly online or in real life.
I look forward to attending a Botcon only to settle matters with idiots in person.

Funny thing is I haven't bought GI Joe stuff in many years, but this is the line that is appealing to us older fans, in the same vein that Transformers Classics does.
Hasbro is doing a lot of things right these days.

I'd buy them. They look great and I'm glad the small hand gun has returned. I thought toy laws didn't allow for small <1 inch weapons anymore due to the choke hazard.

all fireing missles from toys have to be at least 2" long. thats why the TRU reissues either had resculted, elongated missles and launchers, or removed the fireing mechanism.
blame the lazy greedy PC perents.

While I can understand knocking Hasbro for their cost-cutting measures like skimping on paint apps and excessive repaints I think it's only fair to recognize the efforts they've made for
years to cater to younger fans and older collectors. Throughout the Unicron trilogy we were treated to plenty of G1 homages in addition to the Alternators line. When it comes to G.I. Joe they went back and replaced the T-Crotch with the classic O-ring fairly quickly after a false start and even went so far as to try and carry-on the 3 3/4 line after the introduction of Sigma Six with the DTC figures. They even gave us a new improved version of the classic HISS! Sometimes I think people really don't give them enough credit.
