man ive been slacking on my hauls lately. heres my latest stuff!

courtesy of megatronus (thanks again!): botcon 2013's hoist, megaplex, and skywarp (giving me a complete 2013 box set now!), targets silver knight prime and grimlock 2-pack, and a white lio prime which i forgot to picture #-o

Image

up next is some additions to my dinobot shrine: MISB BW neo hardhead and MOSC BM dinobots rapticon. which i may end up opening since i need a second hardhead to open anyways, and rapticons bubble got a little crushed in shipping :-(

with them theres some more neo and BM dinosaurs (dont remember their names) and a TFCC sideburn!

Image

and finally is MP soundblaster! which with a set of reprolabels is SOOO worth it! (ratbat sits with soundwave though :P )

Hopes up I went to my local Target. It was still full of Beast Hunters Deluxes priced at 17$. It had lots of one step changers AoE toys, plus those useless dino-riders and non-transforming bricks. The only voyagers was Optimus and Grimlock. The only generations figures are FOC Soundwave and Grimlock, plus IDW Megatron and Hoist. A few BH Ultra Magnus and that green dragon thing were there as well. They had many choices, but those were old things. Old things left from a bigone era. While TrU and Walmart went foward with the new stuff and exclusives, Target was at a standstill. As if time had stopped, after a big and cruel war. The toys, old and outdated, were in shamble on the shelves, with no efforts made by the staff to put them back in a presentable fashion. It's a sad, sad sight to behold. One day, maybe my grandchildren will enjoy some new Transformers from the new lines. In the neantime, I will rest my wraith of floweres at the foot of this depressing sight. I will kneel. And I will cry.

Thanks. I've got some good connections. And yes, Hardbone is quite good, in spite of his troubles!

As of late:

Deluxe Lockdown
Deluxe Evolution Of Bumblebee
Masterpiece Prowl

Lockdown looks good in vehicle mode, robot mode is way too short and the arms look like ridiculous monkey arms. Not exactly the most solid robot mode. (Pegs pop loose with enough force, which isn't much.) He's the only real transforming Lockdown we're going to get in the mainline, so on that I recommend him. As a figure in general? Meh.

Bumblebee is a really nice figure in robot mode. He's bulky looking, muscular looking. Has a battle mask and cannon that can be implemented. The mask is a bit of a pain due to how it's connected.

Masterpiece Prowl is the Takara Tomy version, I got it used (if it was) on eBay for $53.00 shipped and it was worth it at that price, but barely. This is not my favorite Masterpiece mold. It's not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not one I felt the need to race to get and I feel vindicated in the end. It doesn't impress me nearly as much as I hoped it would. The Lambor mold is definitely the winner of the two new Masterpiece car molds. Hopefully Wheeljack kicks both of their backsides when he's released. Oh and the $70.00 price tag that TRU's asking? Absolutely not worth it. No way, no how. $50.00 or less? Yeah, he's worth it.

One last note, kinda sad too... Lockdown is slightly shorter than the new Bumblebee. :(

I got Hardbone last Christmas from my wife and love him. Despite his flaws of course. :D

With all the clearing of older stock you wouldn't expect to find something new among them. Boy was I wrong:

Image

Construct-Bots Thundercracker

We never got Wave 2 Scouts here, only Ironhide and Starscream so finding Thundercracker was a surprise. Especially considering it's from the Blokker (which is like a tiny tiny Big Lots!) and isn't known for carrying the most, the biggest (more like the smallest) or even the latest.
My opinion? Well I have a thing for blue aircraft and dual wielding weapons, and this figure has it all :)

Today's my birthday and I got a fun surprise.

I went to a local bazaar (year round yard sale)and found a ROTF Megatron in pretty good shape. The guy selling it told me he would sell it to me for 5$ and give me the mini-con six-speed as a bonus. I didnt even think and gave him my money.

I got to my place to find an e-bay order had finally come in featuring First Edition Bulkhead and RTS Strafe. Though Bulkhead is pretty great, Strafe overshadowed him. He is as good as I was hoping he would be when people professed the awesomeness of Mindwipe. The transformation of both these transformers is PHENOMENAL! The only sad thing is that I had bid on 2 Strafes and ended up winning both. Oh well, gonna have to sell it now.

Got paid today, so after going to bank the cash, decided to drop by my local comic shop for the first time ever today to see what kind of shape they are when it comes to Transformers. Stroll in, and I was extremely surprised to find that they had Energon Skyblast up for about fourteen bucks. Never got him as a kid, so I figured why not. Came home, opened him up, and I was hit with a massive wave of nostalgia. Compared to today's engineering, he's a little crummy, but he's such a pleasant surprise to me! Was also really tempted to get some issues of More than Meets the Eye, and even had a nice, fat stack of them in my hand, but I decided against it due to trying to build up some funds, so I put the stack back. Once I get some finances built up, though, I'm totally going for them.

You lucky sonnova! Even completely scrap, he's worth at least 5 times as that! Give yourself 10 more points if he have his kneepads. 50 points for his small arm. 100 more points if he have his main canon arm. JACKPOT if above all else, he still have his missile.

So, how's your score?

I score 150 (missing kneepads and missile, but came with working electronics). I can see how he is very hard to come by complete, everything is made to be detachable for some reason.

Not too shabby. At least, he have his arms, the most commonly lost peice after the obvious missile.
