So after about a year of him being out, I finally decided to bite on getting Generations Legends Bumblebee after picking up Cliffjumper last week. He's... alright. Fell apart while getting him out of his (difficult) package, but after piecing him pack together, he's okay. I only got him to scale better with the Classics figures I have. Guess that means my Classics Deluxe is probably going to have to find a new home here soon... any thoughts?

With Leader class and voyager bots, of course!

Finally!!!!!!! The scalpers couldnt take them all, I finally got my hands on the Silver Knight Optimus and Grimlock set at Target. Here in Canada, they go for 16.99 regular price so the scalpers have been stalking all Targets getting as much as they can and selling it locally at pathetic prices like this example: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-jouets-jeux/ville-de-montreal/transformers-optimus-prime-and-grimlock-2-pack-target-exclusive/1011177441?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

Anyways, this is not the time to complain but the tie to rejoice because I finally got mine. As you can tell, I had to take them out and play with them. Though backpacks are a pet peeve of mine I really love that Silver Knight Optimus, he just feels so solid and looks phenomenal! And his truck mode is perfect for a deluxe figure with the chrome deco being almost uninterrupted in that mode. I also got First Editon Starscream (I only had the energon redeco before) and took hi out of his card as well.

Nice haul. That Grimlock looks great in his Dino mode.

Well the past couple days have netted me some nice new trinkets in the form of the Asda (Wal-Mart) exclusive legends Stinger, Prime and Grimlock and the two pack with Bee and Blue Terrasaur. I now love the Terrasaur mold, extremely posable and fun to handle.

Today's my B-day! Image

So I got AOE Leader Grimlock from mom and with dad's B-Day cash, I bought deluxe AOE Drift and Lockdown, finally out at Wallmart!

Image

Leader Grimlock is better than I tought, appart the too long dino chest. His bot mode is glorious and his transformation is very involved and intriguing. I had a very hard time figuring out how to place the bot feet between the dino chest and the rear legs. Things never wanted to fit. Then I gave up and looked at the instruction sheet. I was still completely stumped! After a good 10-15 minutes of diddling, the brilliant tought of checking page two of the instruction sheet finally crossed my mind. then I was shown that the bot chest (that was locked in pretty tightly), must be extended for the dino transformation. Oh, magic, the bot feets finally fit!

I just openned Lockdown. He's a neat little toy, but the plastic is very thin à-la FOC wave one or some Prime figures. The bot mode is also a little floppy. Still, he's fun to transform and the car mode is AMAZING.

happy Bday!

and I KNOW! i was so impressed with leader grim that it made me angry i listened to all those youtube reviewers early on in the AOE's releases. they slammed him, but i ended up getting him cause he was on sale, i did like his bot mode, and im not afraid to say i like chrome! and my experience was almost the same as yours word for word

the only thing i dont like (besides the dino chest) is shifting his shoulders for transformation. every time i move them i feel like im breaking them when pulling them off and on those tabs.

A comic book store got its hands on an old RID collection so I grabbed X-Brawn and Prowl for 15$ a piece. My sideburn was elsewhere so Smokescreen welcomed them instead

D'ohoho! You did it you sonova! It would have been a great deal at 20$ each but you tried your luck and succeeded. Congratulation!

Finding Leader RID Optimus and Ultra Magnus might be a bit more difficult, but we never know...

Target is clearancing the Construcbots sets AOE Lockdown, Drift, and Optimus Prime. All for a ridiculous 7.50$ each! I obviously bought one of each.

Will, why dont you buy this trio and hold on to it to make a fine Xmass gift?

Ha! This Bulkhead was the christmas gift I was holding onto. I might get her another. How ridicuous is 7.50$? How much do they cost normally? Drift interests me most, he looks very cool with the extra armour. Also, is the Target exclusive constust bot silver optimus and grimlock a good deal? Because anything else in that 14.99 price range usually doesnt come with that many pieces

Those sets are as big as the Unicron Megatron and Bulkhead sets. Normally 25$, now only 7.50$.
At the Target you know well. The a couple of Drifts and Lockdowns, and only one Optimus left. All sets come with a mini dino whose parts can be used as extra armor for the robot. However, I suspect doing so remove the transformability of the toy. Nevermind that 7.50$ is damn cheap.

BTW, those sets are not with the other TFs but in a special aisle, right at the last toy row. At that price, you can't go wrong.

FINALLY found Rattrap and Tankor today at my local Target. Figured I'd go ahead and get them.

Haven't messed with Rattrap all that much, but so far, he's pretty cool. Transformation's a little fiddly, and his "hood" that goes over his head for his beast mode is a pain to get out, but beyond that, he's adorbs. He'll go nicely with Universe (2009) Dinobot and Generations Waspinator.

I went ahead and got Tankor despite all the negativity about him. He's... better than I thought he'd be. My biggest thing is his size; definitely should've been a Voyager, even if they had kept the simpler engineering. Beyond that, he's better than I thought he'd be. I was also pleased to see that his wrist-mounted sawblades were capable of spinning.

I also just got back from Target with a Tankor, and I agree with you. He's better than I'd expected, and I was initially going to pass on him. But, to the dismay of so many around Seibertron, I absolutely love Beast Machines as a series, so I caved and got him, probably in the hopes that they make a Thrust and Jetstorm eventually, and also partly out of disappointment that I didn't find Crosscut. I'd thought Tankor's sawblades would come out of his wrists, or that the claws would fold back and the blades would move forward, but they don't.

He's actually pretty neat, and he sure is bigger than he looks in the pictures. At least I think he looks scrawny in the photos of him.

Totally unrelated, so sue me: exactly nine months from today, I will be getting married.
