What if we get him and Brawl for the first wave, then two more and the last figure in waves two and three.

Doesn't look like it combines to me. But we may still be pleasantly surprised. In which case, the rumored tank would make sense to be Brawl.

however depending on how the legs transform, and the arms latch together, he might be able to combine.

But if they are going to make combiners i would have liked the Stunticons instead of the Combaticons.

Onslaught FTW! Can't really tell if he is a combiner by the pic, all of the tell-tale signs are well hidden. :-?

Either way this is sweet.

If Onslaught is a stand alone character, then this is really an "out of left field" pick that is even more surprising than Mirage or Ramjet would have been in Classics 1.0.

He looks like he should a good figure and it's always good to see the lesser known characters get their due, but outside of the context of the Combaticons as a whole, it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense to just release Onslaught.

I would imagine the rest of the Combaticons would be coming, not in the 1st wave, but throughout the whole lifespan of the line since I cannot imagine Hasbro would plan for making, say, 2 or 3 Combaticons, and then finishing off the team "somewhere down the road", like Classics 3.0 or whatever.

Any way you look at it, this is great news! :D

There is no official word that this Onslaught is part of any Combiner. He may just be a figure on his own, fans will need to consider that possibility.

:-( Aww, that would be a real disappointment! Although the 5 figures could be the 5 Combaticons, but why release only the Combaticons for Wave 1? Great chance he might be a stand-alone figure =(

I thought I remembered in the notes taken at the last Botcon that Hasbro said we should expect to see a combiner, but I can not remember if it was in reference to the universe, or animated line. Does anyone else remember reading that as well?

if this is a staggered release combiner i'm okay with it being Bruticus rather than Menasor. Both are cool but the later will benefit with more vehicles out for the autobots and some small retools can pull off some good liknesses to the stunticons.

if they will be combiners that is. Even if Onslaught isn't he does look damn cool.

well maybe the other comaticons will add to him like an extra Long leg, and arm/backpack attachments.. like say that Leo Breaker does with megatron, and the legs will have attachments similar to that of another robot.. and a helmet head for Bruticus..?? Just thinking out loud..

Wow, I did not see that coming!

Cool so he's like an armoured SWAT riot truck, abit different than that weird self proplelled artillery truck thing he was in G1.

But he's still got the classic duel cannon barrels sticking up on his back, I guess they'd be water cannons on this type of verhicle, I not sure the American police force have their own artillery branch (yet) but f@#k it, it's an original direction to take the character that works so I'm happy.

Don't love the head sculpt so much... I liked the old mouth plate and big orange visor better.

Fingers crossed a Swindle & Hound retool come along in 2.0

Only time Hasbro is getting my money before Fall 2008 is for Masterpiece Starscream. Let's be honest guys, the movie figures are hard to find and there quality is on par with Beast Machines which is pretty bad. I don't like the paint scheme for Onslaught though. It makes since somewhat because when do you think you'll see a vehicle similiar to Onslaught's on the road? Hasbro sucks since they just want to milk the Movie line 10 times more than it's worth. :-(

Looks great! I guess it's safe to assume or at least Hope for a full blown new mold of the rest of the combaticons. Wow what Hasbro is capable of doing yet they don't seem to realize this is exactly what we as fans want to see. I really wish they would have done new molds for the Constructicons.

From the sounds of it from Pete@Botcon, he's fairly sure that Onslaught is NOT a combiner and also has no indication from Hasbro that he will combine. He's not 100%, but he's fairly certain.

So far Onslaught is the only Combaticon confirmed. No one knows if he's a combiner (not even the club, who just saw the same picture we saw) and he's going to be released in stores in fall of 2008, along with 4 other characters.

Never trust anything that anyone says no matter how well connected they clam to be. Because hasbro is always trying to send out disinformation so people will not expect what is coming down the road they want to make sure people show up for botcon in april so there leaking something that gets people hopes up, and then you shell out all the money to go and you don't get s***t in the way of information. Just like last year when they mentioned a new combiner coming for either the animated show or the classics 2.0/universe line during the panel disscusion. Well heres hoping that this is the first part of the combiner and not a stand alone S.W.A.T truck named onslaught.

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm gonna be on edge until the release. #-o

Gonna keep me eyes open for other Web-based info related to this ITM.

I like him...looks like a good cross between G1 Onslaught and Energon Barricade. Even the SWAT logo is a nice touch.

Now we gotta see what his alt mode's like.

That Classics Onslaught looks sick. I realize that it isn't exactly a "reengineering" of the original but it looks fantastic and continues to =P~ for more of the Classics 2.0. I am ecstatic about this line!!

I cant fudge'n wait to get that awesome issue, man he looks awesome and I hope that they game him his 3rd base/tank mode think then it would be frigg'n amazing but I really don't like those kind of hands that transform like that some times because that might be loose and always keep going back in the arm...some of you might understand what Im saying, this think rules I really can't wait to see prowl. Why Hasbro why do We have to wait till fall nxt frigg'n year.

looks just okay. maybe a 6/10 but we better be getting bruticus or this is just a complete waste. if he's a stand alone then that's just the most retarded thing ever.

I don't understand the point of a combiner piece without the rest of his team. Also, why does he transform into a cop? Isn't that a good guy? They could have taken this mold and changed the paint scheme to something cool, like Hardhead.
