Just to piggy-back and revive your original question so hopefully we both get a response...

I recently had the good fortune to be able to get a complete God Neptune for an affordable price (@ $50)...minus his sword. Since that piece is nonexistent on e-bay, I had a brainstorm--get a hold of a more common Piranacon sword and paint it to match God Neptune. Like Pasta's question above--what types of paint and what process is best for this type of job? I've not kitbashed or repainted a thing in my life, so type slowly.... :HEADHURTS: . Maybe this will be what gets me into that sort of thing.

Thanks in advance!

Model Paint is usually the cheapest and easiest way to repaint but its very hard to get a smooth even finish. There is an awesome spraypaint made by Krylon called "fusion". This stuff bonds directly to plastic and looks totally radical! Its very easy to use as all you have to do is take apart the parts (or tape them off if need be) and just spray piant 'em. Its relatively expensive ($8.00 cdn/ can)and I don't know if they sell it in the USA but if you can find it, it is the ultimate plastic paint.

I also recently got God Neptune but mine has the sword. That might be a tough one (I have no experience repainting figures) becuase the sword for GN is a goldish color, almost like the GPS goldish color, so the paint might be hard to match (again, no experience). But I'm sure it can be done.

My question is about loose cockpit/chest sections on G1 seekers. Is there a way to tighten the joint that allows them to fold into place? My guess is there's a screw in the shoulder area where the intake vents are located. Haven't looked at it too much, just curious if anyone had a solution I could steal.

Weapon: 16 Cannons
I recently bought a couple of sets of Micromaster Combiners and they are in excellent condition with the exception of rust on the pins on the wheels. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the rust without damaging the figures in any way? :-?

Is there any way to fix G1 headmasters if the head pops out? Like when you push in the head and then the body rejects it? I'm having this problem with my Skorpanok.
