Transtopia's Repaint of the Year

Postby TFmaster » Sat Jul 08, 2006 11:47 am

First I would like to thank our Sponsors for the great prize donations,,, Black/Mightgain, Shin for the great custom ideas, Lobo for creating such awesome Custom Prizes based off of Shins Digi-bashes, and of course Don for donating a signed copy of BW.

Second I want to thank everyone that had partispated in this Event and although you can't all be winners we loved every entry that was submitted and for those that made it to the finals but did not win you will get an hounerable mention on the Awards page that will be forthcomming after this event along with the winners.

Now to award this years Winner of the Repaint of the year!

Alt Armada Megatron - Squall42080

All Prizes for these winners will be announced at a later date here in the winners thread. Please do not exspect to get your prizes as soon as possible become some are still in the final stages of being created or our sponsor has to be alerted first to send out said winnings.

Congrats to Squall42080 on such a great peice of Transfan art.

Now that is definitely a sweer (yes I meant to put the r there. :P ) piece... Alot of time and hard work went into this as we can all tell. And he really does look like Arm Megs. Now that is the real major seller...

Congrats man! Megs is a greatly detailed and original figure. I said it before. I can't wait to see more Armada Alts!

Wow...really all I can say is wow!

This is so awesome! I can't believe I won!

I just got off the phone with everyone I know...telling them to "Quick! Go to, they just announced the winner!"

Most of my friends faked their excited-ness...considering they are not Transformer fans...but I couldn't be happier!

(I think the people I work with will be more excited, since they followed the contest from the get-go!)

A lot of work went into everyone's kitbashes/repaints/scratchbuilds...and everyone deserves a big ol' pat on the back!

It was amazing to see all of them...most of which we have seen go from idea to concrete proof of awesomeness, the same way we saw this contest go from idea to reality.

I want to thank TFMaster, the judges, other contestants, everyone who has given me feedback along the way, and all the sponsers!

As well as a little wink to the girl that made me get back into this hobby, and who has supported me along the way! (and my parents, who's garage is now covered in a thin layer of purple and green paint dust...)

It's about time you get some official recognition with tour non-G1 alt repaints.

Very well done and congrats on winning.

(Although I personally feel that Megatron isn't your best: like Red Alert better.)

Great man! Good work, I really like your Armada Megs! Althought it's just simple well done paint work and all, it's really efective paint scheme and the mold couldn't be chosen better. Congrats!

This repaint is virtually flawless and it's more original than some other Alternators customs out there. Nice work on the win Squall!
