I'm excited that soon my Renderform Goldbug will have his team to boss around.

Ya know, from the silhouette we got from Toyworld pertaining their Not-Throttlebots we might be getting a new Goldbug from them since we don't see Wideload on there.

I like that figure. Wow.

I don't like the price. I'm sorry, no dice. $100.00 for Hegemon? Worth it. You get a LOT for that tag. This guy? Meh. $50.00 perhaps.

I do like how it transforms. That's really nice how the kibble all folds down nice and neat to make it as clean as possible. I don't like the color. I can't tell if it's painted, or it's gold plastic. If it's the latter, then definitely not. I mean, Hasbro's had a rather difficult time getting rid of GPS, I can't imagine a 3rd partier could magically fix it.

Hasbro's pretty much stopped it, but there's always a few figures that still get hit with it.

Nice.

I think I'll do thins instead of spending on the Deluxe insecticons.

I'm happy enough with the regular ones.

Never got into the Throttlebots. But it looks nice regardless.

Looks nice, not $70 nice. Would rather get the Perfect Effect RC for a little more. I need her more than a Throttlebot.

If this ever goes on sale, I'll pick him up though.

This color is 10x better than the drab olive green. I really like the mold and transformation, but it way too expensive. $50 seems more reasonable.

Really looks great. That price is hard to swallow though. Third parties are hurting my collecting habits. I never thought I'd say that.

Hmm... I might bite that. But not sold on the olive color. I need better examples of what the actual color will be. I hate purchasing a figure only for a better colored version to come out later.

I love the scale and the price drop made it a lot more appealing. I think I'm on board.

Thought I was gonna avoid Hardhead, but that looks pretty great.

Which company's version is that?
I know a couple of them are working on him.

You're asking who that figure is beside TW's GrindRod?

Cool, thanks!

If that's all TW, these guys are really coming out of the gate strong!

Hegemon was a hit, and Rollbar(Grindrod) and Hardhead both look excellent.

Looking forward to more from these guys.

quebecer wrote:I am using a Classics Hound with a custom head as Rollbar right now. I'd love to have this guy. I have customs of all of the others as well using BB and Tracks/Wheeljack molds, and still waiting for my Maketoy Dump Truck to customize as Wide Load.

I had thought about doing that too with the couple of extra Generations Wheeljacks I have, though I wish I had a couple of Generations Tracks too to play around with and kitbash/repaint. If only to give Freeway a more "Corvette"-looking vehicle body.

With one of my extra Classics Hounds, I repainted him to be Beachcomber. Since he was pretty much a pacifist, I pop out the front grill rollbar thing and have him use it like a hand-held scanner.

Getting off the subject of Throttlebots, I recently took a Transformers: Prime Bulkhead, repainted him black with red and chrome highlights to create a Generations Trailbreaker. I think he turned out pretty sweet, though I think a darker blue than the one I chose would look better for his windows and front and back windshields.

Another project I took Generations Warpath, simply painted him dark green to create the Decepticon tank, Treads.

In another project I took another Generations Warpath, removed the gun turret, replaced it with the upper chest section of Generations FOC Shockwave. I then applied dark purple plum paint to the body to match the new upper chest section and black paint to the treads to create a much more beefier Shockwave to stand alongside my Generations/Classics Decepticons. I was still able to use its handheld FOC cannon in tank mode and in robot mode, with the addition of rubber tubing to pump up the coolness factor.

I think my next projects will be adding to my Seekers line or attempting to create my own Punch/Counterpunch. I have a few Generations Starscreams and Ramjets to build up my Seekers and at least one or two Generations Sideswipes to fool around with to get those characters made.

Looks like they are starting to ship to the online shops. Customers may start to get them in a couple weeks.

1 Down, 5 to go.

Can't wait. Rollbar and Searchlight look really good.

I hope TW hasn't scrapped their IDW Optimus project.
