Which figure do you have that is on my list?
M(super cherry)IB Dai Atlas. I got him on Ebay about 5 years ago, had NO idea who he was or what Zone was. Paid like $60. I was actually convinced it was another toy line, that had borrowed the autobot symbol
I have since been educated.

I think it's a topic that should be revisited from time-to-time as this group obtains some of the special sought-after items that we wish to obtain. If Bob or Mike ever gets Shining Unicron or if Matt obtains his Lucky Draw Fire Convoy or if Jon lands a MIB Scorponok ... we ought to use that moment to cover this conversation again.
Agreed. ANYONE who owns just one Transformers toy, has atleast one more than they KNOW they want. Whether it's worth the money or not (to them). Everyone has a Grail. The joy of getting one or the heartache of knowing that during the course of you collecting, you could have purchased your Grail with the money you have spent
! It was fun to listen to. I'd love to hear more Grail acquisition stories! Congrats btw, EPIC figures, both of them.
Seibertron wrote:This was a turning point in my collection. It feels weird after all of these years to not be on the hunt for this item. It was just the right time, the right moment, the right price, and the right place. It just all fell together and I love that I did it by selling extra TFs that I've obtained along the way. That made it even more special ... and the only way I could rationalize all of this craziness to my wife. I'm a very lucky man that she is so understanding of this hobby.
Loud and clear buddy. My Grail story is similar: Overlord, MIB. Bought him when my first custom Transformer auction closed. Never thought in a million years something I made would have been in such high demand. Overpaid for my Overlord, but the wife put it into perspective for me, explaining that for once, the hobby is self sustaining. I am very lucky aswell.
All round great podcast. I love the show, keep it up. And get cracking on those galleries!
