I still don't follow. If Slug is a separate character from Slag, how does Slug's name affect the consistency of Slag's name?Dammitman wrote:Your comment pretty much says it all. "...It's not G1 Slag." Therefore Slag hasn't consistently kept his name. It's like Prince changing his name to a "Formerly known" or Snoop Dogg calling himself Snoop Lion or Darth Vader, instead of being a bad ass becoming a whiny puss. (although I don't think the Vader one was a good analogy but there it is.) I understand what is being said about why they changed the name but afterall there are still plenty of Americans out there named "Dick" regardless of what slang has made it out to be. So to me Hasbro, High Moon, or whoever is just copping out.

Different continuity = different character.Dammitman wrote:I don't see how Slug is a seperate character. Dinobot. Transforms into a Triceratops. Loves to fight. Flamethrower. How is it not Slag? The rest of the other Dinobots remained consistent, with the exception of the "Animated" series where they called Slag, Snarl, and left out Sludge and the Stegosaurus who was supposed to be Snarl.

And this right here is the root of your confusion.Dammitman wrote:I don't believe that is true. The Cybertron games are the prequel to the G1 continuity.

The similarities Are almost identical to say they are not the same character is ludicrous
